Interesting take.
I would say even a terrible football critique is a more productive conversation than 'make fun of Ash's face".
But to each their own.

I would agree that moving players around isn't a big deal - especially at a school like OSU. However, we are not OSU.
Our QB development has been "less than ideal" for the past couple of years.
And our development of a backup QB has been "less than ideal" for over a decade.
Giving Lewis that most time possible to develop as a passing QB would probably not be a bad idea - since is back at QB again.

Even more so since he only had 85 pass attempts in his first year and now 0 attempts his redshirt year.
If he is going to actually be a QB long term here - he should have been playing QB last year instead of Gio.
The "play 4 games and still redshirt" would have been perfect to get him game action as an actual QB if that is his long term position.

Braxton Miller: He permanently moved to WR. He didn't move back and forth between positions.

Not you. The guys who just ***** about everything without any plausible thought process. They have made fun of his face too lol.

If JLew is happy, I'm glad he is and won't say he's misused.
I think the young man knows more than me about that

I wish he gets a legit shot at Rutgers in 2019 but we all know he will never play QB at Rutgers. The question is if J Lewis actually have the skills to be a legit D1 QB if given the chance?

He may have under Kill, given the time to develop as a passer. Not sure if he can do it with McNulty.

Ryan Tannehill was a college receiver who became a mediocre QB. Learning another position didn't help him.

Wow! To say this is a dumb post is an understatement. Tannehill was the 8th pick in the draft
We can only dream of a rutgers quarterback getting drafted. And imagine if a rutgers quarterback is good enough to actually be a first round pick! That’s going to be the best player rutgers football ever had here .
Sign me up for j. Lewis actually being a good enough quarterback here to sniff an nfl roster

So are Blaine Gabbert and Brock Osweiler. Would you want them under center for your team?
Blaine Gabbert's College years play would be a reason to want him under center
Year Team Passing
Cmp
Att Pct Yds TD Int
2008 Missouri 5 13 38.4% 43 0 0
2009 Missouri 262 445 58.8% 3,593 24 9
2010 Missouri 301 475 63.4% 3,186 16 9
Career 568 933 60.9% 6,822 40 18

Brock Osweiler's last year at ASU would be a highly acceptable one for an RU QB.
2011 Arizona State ( CMP)326 -(ATT) 516 (Pct) 63.2 - (YDS) 4,036- (TD) 26 - (int)13

As pros, both left a lot to be desired but as College QBs were pretty good

Lol, say that to his bank account. I can only imagine how much more money he would have if he had only stayed a TE![roll]

We really do have a stupid fanbase[eyeroll]

I'm talking about the pros. Holy shizzz
Thats the problem with most people here. Theyre more worried about what system they should run that would benefit them in pro instead of how it would benefit the players while theyre at Rutgers (or in college). If this was the case, Tome Brady and Joe Montana would suck *** because they didnt have the esteemed college careers that people here would rather look at instead of what players did in college

Like I said, who care what Gabbert did in the pros... He had a good college career

I prefer to think of it as a "Ryan Tannenhill Spouse Appreciation" thread now.

ZERO as long as Mcnulty's prodigy is still there.
That’s incorrect. If he performs better he will play. Same as every year. As a fan who does not care who starts or who coaches I have to say many of you sound ignorant. The best guys are out there.

So Im ignorant because I basically said that if Lewis NEVER got a shot last year, theres no way he will get a shot this year? Im just going by what the coaches have done in the past. They didnt even give him a legit drive to see what he could do, even after all the interceptions and badly thrown passes.

I just hope EVERYONE improves from last season and EVERYONE gets a legit shot in making the team better this year.

Coaches work with these kids on a daily basis. They don’t necessarily need to see everythig in game scenario.

JL has all winter, spring & summer to earn his playing time. I don’t think Art has any guarantees, regardless of your belief there’s a conspiracy.
