That head butting confrontation with Smart was awesome …never seen two players head butting each other that long without somebody splitting em up lol

Edit it was with Grant Williams sorry

I remember when most of the board trashed him when he was going at it with Kat lol
Wasn't it something about Kats work ethic? I can't remember. Still. Butler is a stud who works his tail off. Wasn't really studly in college but worked to hone his craft and the results speak loudly. It's easy to pull for a hard worker.

Don’t see Boston winning 4 of the next 5. This might get the Boston coach fired.

They play, play harder, then play harder still. Relentless.
That doesn’t explain how the 7 seed who lost their first playin game and had to beat Chicago just to earn the 8th spot has been able to beat the 1 and 5 seeds in convincing fashion while having a plethora of injuries.

It’s truly remarkable.

It’s especially remarkable when you consider that they lost Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo to injuries at the start of the playoffs. Two of their starters and eight of their players were undrafted. Kevin Love's career was widely thought to be finished just a few months ago in Cleveland. And Cody Zeller now looks like a 50-year-old.

Hard to believe such a scraggly roster is about to reach the Finals. What Butler is doing is reminiscent of when Allen Iverson carried that motley Philly crew there in 2001.

It makes no sense for how banged up they are, but it shows what continuity in the front office and coaching staff does for a team. The Heat don’t fire Spolstra when they have an off year, the keep drafting well and signing the right FA’s.
We’ll I’ll agree on keeping Spoestra and right culture…but man what in the hell are they doing signing Duncan Robinson to that contract and why are they relying on so many undrafted free agents?

They got to nba finals in bubble and simply had not enough talent to compete. Feels like that same story will happen.

As I recall, the issue was with him bullying KAT in practice and openly taunting him for being too soft.

Which I’m sure he probably did. Jordan and Kobe were also known for bullying teammates in practice …and Jimmy seems to have the same sort of hyper-competitive killer mentality those guys did.

People always act as if this era of basketball doesn't compare to the past...
I believe the opposite. Players have developed offense that didn't exist in the 90's. The side step and step back 3's these guys are taking is next level offense. Creating separation from a defender right in their face. You didn't see that from maybe one or two guys back then. With any sport players just get better over time

Good! Unless you're from Boston, I can't see how any UK fan would root for this Celtics team. No UK guys. Their coach was on the WVU team that beat the Wall team in the tourney. Star player is a Dukie and have an annoying Vol flopper to boot. Go Heat!

Yep arguably the least likeable NBA team ever. Throw in Jaylen Brown spurning UK for California. Horford too.
