Nice. I just watched some highlights of his and really think he should have at least been a Consensus All American and probably had a Lombardi Award too.

I'm guessing I nailed your age and IQ level right on the head being that your comeback was to call me a "whiny female". That was an awesome burn, very witty. o_O
Now you're just cracking me up. I love how you use Miami beating Nebraska in the 80's but ignore Florida State beating the Huskers twice in the 90's... At least you are consistently ignorant. You also ignore that I SAID I DON'T EVEN FULLY AGREE WITH NU BEING THE TEAM OF THE 80'S AND FSU BEING THE TEAM OF THE 90'S. I just said that many people believe that, and though I don't fully agree I do see their points. Seriously, you can close your "case", Detective Hoosker Douche.
Take care little fella, you are officially the first person so stupid I've had to put on Ignore in the nearly 13 years I've been on this site. You have my nomination as an Honorary Hawkeye Fan for your intelligent posts, you should probably have mom and dad get you a script of Ritalin and cruise their boards for awhile.

You get more dense with every post.
So...we were the team of the 80s when we won exactly 4 more games over a 10-year period, and no national titles vs 3 for Miami, including a loss to them. Sorry, but you're putting entirely too much weight on our record in the 80s vs national championships.

Nebraska - 103-20, 0 NCs
Miami - 99-20, 3 NCs

And Florida State is the Team of the 90s because they won 1 more game over the decade vs us, with 1 fewer national title? Again, I would be much more likely to agree that Florida State was the Team of the 90s than us being the Team of the 80s, because they actually had 2 national titles and beat us repeatedly in the 90s, even though we won 3 national titles.

Florida State - 109-13, 2 NCs
Nebraska - 108-16-1, 3 NCs

We had much more right to the throne of Team of the 90s than we did Team of the 80s. Much more. If you didn't agree with them on the 80s then why didn't you admit as much a long time ago, instead of carrying on all day with this nonsense argument. You know you're wrong, so stop being an irritating twit!

the 80's and 90's debate should involve one key piece of information,
how many teams beat NU in the 80's or 90's that went on to have very degenerate behavior going on?
weither it being charlie thompson, or luther cambell
Or lets say eric be-enemy or free shoes u?

these are all factors.

but in the end it's important to remember:
Husker's = America's Team
and not some overhyped crackboys from the south.
and this is not dependent on any certain decade.

Miami Fl in the eighties had the luxury of playing bowl games on their home field and won 2 of their 3 National titltes including our failed 2 point conversion and they beat Nebraska and Oklahoma in the other 2 Orange Bowl games.
