Well, Jett and I are both from Tupelo. I watched him play in high school and knew him enough to speak to him now and then. He always seemed like a level-headed guy. He understood why he was supposed to be where and what the defense was trying to do. That knowledge let him use his athleticism to its absolute maximum benefit, the trait that reminds me most of Boyd. I had some classes with Boyd while we were both at State. I wouldn't claim to know him well, but I always enjoyed talking to him.

All that together is why the two remind me of one another.
