Super disappointed in these. I was looking forward to the ‘83 jerseys in particular and they just look awful.

I have the ‘76 throwback and it’s really nice although I wish they had the scarlet one. The ‘83 one could have been great but this is horrendous.
Same, they did a pretty good job with the ‘76 throwbacks. I would by a scarlet version of that in a heartbeat.
The ‘83 jerseys look like they were designed by someone who has never seen them before.
The problem is they didn’t even fix the ‘76 one to be anything close to what’s worn on the court. So two throwback jerseys, neither are the actual jersey.
Yea, the ‘76 jerseys are at least somewhat decent, but the details on them are all wrong too. I will never understand why they decided to add the side stripes to the ones they sell that aren’t on the actual jerseys that they wear, and the sleeve/neck trim is wrong on those also.
Completely agree. The company must’ve had the fabric with the pattern leftover from something and Rutgers got it cheap. It doesn’t make sense. I could live with the collar being off if the panels weren’t on the jersey and it was all white.
These are not Adidas and that is the issue. Talked to Steve at Scarlet Fever and too make any money they would have to sell addias replicas for $$120, so in turn it's not worth it. We have some killer jerseys though and these pieces of crap do them no justice.
I think the worst part is they needed a survey to gather interest to make these crappy replicas?

Even if it did, these uniforms are nothing like the actual 1983 Scarlet jerseys. Nothing is the same.

I bought the white Knights one last year - think it was about $70. Was so excited for it, waited a long time (months) and when it arrived I was really disappointed. They are essentially practice pinney grade.
@SF88 I would easily pay the $120 (or more) for the adidas grade if it included all the details such as outline of NJ on the back, B1G & Adidas logo on the shoulder, stitching and proper material.
Big miss to roll these out. I was ready to pay up for the red one, but its god awful looking. Seriously looks like something I could make myself with some stickers and an iron.
Gotta give RU fans at least an option to purchase the premium stuff.

I immediately bought the 76 jersey and the quality is not good. I love the actual player worn jerseys though. This 83 version is a complete joke. It's embarrassing honestly. This is basically a pinny. Disappointing

Same. I was similarly disappointed with the ‘76 jersey I ordered. Kept it, but I never wear it. I ended up ordering a knockoff, which was stitched and had all all of the correct details and patches. It looks and feels like an actual basketball jersey.
It’s pretty sad that a jersey from some random vendor in China is of significantly higher quality than what’s being sold on the actual team store. I would gladly shell out the money for a legit Adidas jersey, but these are shockingly bad, especially for what they’re charging.

DHGate. And yes you can find home, away, black alternate and the ‘76 throwback. I’m sure the ‘83 throwback will end up on there at some point too.
Shipping takes a while and I can’t speak to the consistency as I’ve only ordered one jersey from there, but the one I got was A+
Can you share a picture of the one you got from them? I would absolutely get one. Especially when it seems like their prices are super low

Probably because the actual 1976 jerseys had side stripes. The 76 and 83 throwbacks aren't close to the what they actually were. The white 76 jerseys actually said Rutgers on them and the 83 red throwbacks don't have black with the trim, stripes on the shorts or even the right font of Rutgers like that had in 83.

The weirdness around the K and the t in "Knights" is just from the creasing, it has the full black outline all the way around. I took the pic about 1 minute after opening the package and it had been folded like that for months lol

This is exactly my experience and thoughts too, would have shelled out $120 for a nice jersey
For the record, ScarletFever is not allowed to sell the replica jerseys. According to the University it would be a dilution of their brand.

Steve - I know you’ve mentioned in the past that the RU trademark dept has been a major impediment for a lot of things. I just can’t understand the thinking. it’s not like they’re actually doing a greet job or even accomplish their goal. They’re just reducing the marketing power and opportunities of RU.
And then they roll out a product like this garbage ?!?
Athletic department bites nose to spite face. They should let Scarlet Fever and other companies produce the high end stuff and promote our brand.

The one I got from there is basically identical to the one posted here.
From what I’ve seen, in the photos they post online they make a point not to include the normal manufacturer’s logo (Nike, Adidas, etc) in the photo, but the jersey that I received had it included.
