We did beat Villanova on their home court when Mamu was playing. But I think it was in the arena and not at the Pavilion. Jerry obfuscates that a bit.

Jerry is big time worried about the PG situation. He has seen the team twice, in a scrimmage and an intersquad game. The PGs struggled in each and that's why his prediction is so low.

17-15, 8-12. I think Jerry is being realistic if not a bit optimistic.
It's right around where I think he would peg us, if not a little bit better. I don't think he'll ever pick us worse than that range even if he believes it. Preseason 2024 he had us middle of the pack in the league and a NIT team.

I'm actually a bit more optimistic than Jerry's prediction based on how we outperformed expectations last year and with lots of new players in the Big East that need to prove something and plenty of coaches in the league that need to prove something.

I think Jerry is probably close. A lot has to right go right for us.

PG position seems to be an issue, the shooters we brought in are not proven at the high major level and we lack depth at the bigs. That could spell a lot of problems.

I’ll go with 15 wins overall. 5-7 wins in Big East

I don’t see how we lose more than 3 OOC games with the OOC schedule not being strong at all. And the only way you get to 3 is if the Rutgers game is a L, which I don’t see.

Outside of Bama and perhaps Wisco, where are the challenging OOC games that are going to lead to a L?

If you haven’t seen it, RU has seven non conference games versus teams ranked 300 or higher.

Except everyone we play that you count as a loss will be trying hard to beat a BE team and upsets have happened in our OCC games. I would not assume anything at this point. Based on the scrimmages every game might be a challenge until the guys learn how to play Sha's style of "D" and offense. We can hope for success in the OCC and that is all at this point. The first game will be very interesting for many reasons.

Didn’t until I saw it posted here. Gross. But do credit them for playing two public exhibitions against legit competition.
