Jerry Stackhouse gets mad

Stackhouse has issues. Needs to learn to be a better coach stop blaming refs and eveybody esle, might help alleviate some of his frustration and anger issues.

Dean Smith created the academic fraud system that existed for over 25 years. Stackhouse was there during that time and many many of the players took fake no show classes...I agree you don't need a certain degree...but if you are in a professional position at a university regardless of its status you have to have your university certify the legitimacy of said degree. Can his alma mater truly certify a degree in the athletics department? I don't know if Stackhouse's degree is legit or not, but the fact that their is a doubt caused by the Dean Smith's scam and the fact that on October 13, 2017 the NCAA let the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill walk would cause me not to hire anybody who went to school there.

I used to play against one of his cousins in Danville years ago. Didn’t have nearly as much game but looked a lot like him.

I worked with another cousin of his a few years back. Super nice guy and did have a resemblance!

Yeah. I definitely see the UNC angle. But I really don’t think a basketball coach needs a legitimate degree. But I definitely agree the legitimacy of his degree is questionable.

I just think with his anger issues his degree is least of my concerns. But if I was hiring a basketball coach the only things I would really care are do they win they games? And do they represent the university with professionalism? If those do two things then I overlook the questionable legitimacy of their degree. Now if they’re a professor at my university? Definitely need that degree to be 100% legit.

But let’s be honest, he’s an overpaid and glorified PE teacher.

I simply don’t care where the sports coaches get their degrees or how they got them. What I do care about is if my coach acts like a raving lunatic to the point where he needs a police escort out the building. No coach at Vanderbilt has ever been better than gentleman Roy Skinner nor have they had better teams than his in the mid-60s through the 70s. Stackhouse does not reflect well on Vanderbilt and the sooner he is gone the better. Plus, how could they hire a guy with a bogus degree?

They wr trying to cater to the woke masses by hiring a minority. Plus he had name recognition but that hasn't translated into recruiting.

The reason they need a legit degree is because they are the coach, mentor, father figure to these young men who are dealing with athletics and college. Stackhouse doesn't have a clue how to do that considering he has a fake degree. Vandy should be ashamed for hiring him. And, yeah, his lack of self-control is also a major issue. Both are highly relevant.
