No coach at Vanderbilt has ever been better than gentleman Roy Skinner nor have they had better teams than his in the mid-60s through the 70s. Stackhouse does not reflect well on Vanderbilt and the sooner he is gone the better. Plus, how could they hire a guy with a bogus degree?

I'd like to see why the technical was called on Liam Robbins. Tapping his head after a dunk? Really? Sometimes refs have it coming. If I'm Stackhouse, I'd push those refs buttons early and often in the next game they officiate.

I saw that gesture T'd up in another game this year. Must be one of those 'point of emphasis' things they enforce for the first month or so.

Cal gets mad enough to get kicked out when he desperately needs a win. His whiz assistant Bruiser comes to bail him out once a year.

He must have a terrific agent. Cant understand what he’s done that vanderbilt thought was worth an extension.

They haven’t played a single power 5 team this season and yet here they are at 3-4. Glad our AD isn’t the only one handing out extensions like stocking stuffers.
Well he played the race card his first year there . Probably bought him some time .

C.M. Newton also succeeded with class there.

Depends on how you define “succeeded” . Who was the guy that left for South Carolina? Folgerty or something? He probably had the most success.

Yes Charles Martin did too.
He did not have the highly ranked including top ten teams during his time at Vandy like Coach Skinner did. The one common actions they took was having a number of Kentuckians on their teams.

Even brought in a cop to herd him out. lololololol
I bet a lot of those kids have never heard some of that language before at their crumpets and tea parties they hang out at before going to Vandy. I seen a bunch of F bombs in many different ways there. He appeared to tell the one ref at the end to do something to him… couldn’t quite make it out.

What did he say his first year?
“I don’t have the acumen to know what I’m looking at? What’s the angst? And it becomes the things we see right in front of us, man. All I can say is, 75 million people voted for (Donald) Trump. That’s all I can say. You ain’t fooling me. I know what it’s about, a lot of you hate everything we did when we came here about the staff, the diversity of the staff …”

Probably because they hired him to be the basketball coach and not a professor.

Same, tired old B.S.
Believe it or not, those 75 million could not possibly care less what color you are Jerry.

One of the requirements is to have at a minimum of bachelors degree.
right. Kinda confused by your reply. He was accused of having a phony degree. I haven’t seen where he was accused of not having one.

So I stand by my point. He’s the basketball coach. I fail to see how a certain degree would make him more qualified for that position.

Almost certainly just a coincidence, but the bass line they start playing around 0:21 while he's doing that is very similar to the bass line of Pumped Up Kicks, which would be frickin hilarious if they were doing that on purpose.

I used to play against one of his cousins in Danville years ago. Didn’t have nearly as much game but looked a lot like him.

Played a lot of ball in Danville but the timeframe doesn’t match . The 80’s were my hay day , lol.
I was around playing in the 80s but I wasn’t driving a car until the 90s. You wouldn’t have seen me in many pickup games before then. Other than around the neighborhood or at Centre College. Would ride my bike there.

Dean Smith created the academic fraud system that existed for over 25 years. Stackhouse was there during that time and many many of the players took fake no show classes...I agree you don't need a certain degree...but if you are in a professional position at a university regardless of its status you have to have your university certify the legitimacy of said degree. Can his alma mater truly certify a degree in the athletics department? I don't know if Stackhouse's degree is legit or not, but the fact that their is a doubt caused by the Dean Smith's scam and the fact that on October 13, 2017 the NCAA let the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill walk would cause me not to hire anybody who went to school there.
