FED: Powell is threatening to stay until 2028. Trump says he is fired in May. The fight is over a $4 billion fraud Powell has been covering up since he blocked Pirro's prosecutors from the Fed building. Tillis is blocking the replacement. Boasberg blocked the probe. Powell built a 3-man wall around a $4 billion scandal & Trump just announced he is tearing it down.
CORRUPTION: In a clear case of obstruction of justice, Sen. Thom Tillis is abusing his power by demanding the DOJ close its investigation into the Fed Chair and the four billion dollar renovation scandal at the Fed in exchange for lifting his hold on Trump's Fed nominee Kevin Warsh. Senator Thune must not let a sitting Senator use his power to obstruct justice.
this is one of those instances where trump shouldn't be trump. What is to be gained by this standoff with Tillis. Powell is out as chair shortly, the new guy needs to be installed. Drop the investigation (or speed it up) let Powell ride into the sunset and move on to another issue. Don't we have enough going on?..if they can show Powell somehow personally benefited from this construction, OK, otherwise just chalk it up to government inefficiency (what's new) and move on with life.
We very possibly do not have all the information on this one. Will be interesting to watch it play out.
Powell is one of the few remaining adults in the room. He has protected the economy from trump’s inflationary desires. Trump has openly praised the idea of a weaker US dollar. Trump supporters are not smart people
we never have all the information...it just seems to me that "hanging" Powell for overspending on building construction - unless he somehow misdirected/stole/ or otherwise mis appropriated funds is a waste of time, and counterproductive to what we need the FED to do.
But, hey, like you said, maybe there's something we don't know. Tillis is not a wack job...he must have some info that is causing hime to take the position he is...who knows.
Tillis is a total prick and a rino who's not running for reelection which frees him to do anything possible to obstruct Trump.
