I know the video is about getting to know Jemarl a little, but I'm glad to see Rex doing fun things with the guys and being around the program.

Yeah, I guess his charges for theft were dropped . Let's hope he Dosent wanna act like an "insider" again and be a dumbass and delclare that CAL is leaving for the lakers just minutes before the NCAA freaking title game .

Plus see how tall he is. When Baker committed to Cali he was like 6ft and a soph. Being out west and being labeled a 2guard who was to short to be a 2guard got him ranked in the 70s. Well he grew to 6ft4 improved his handle. This kid is way under ranked plays with a chip on his shoulder because of it. He may not get Lamb min but I see him as a better version of Mays he will play more than people think.

Diallo should be sweating with a guy this smooth hungry for his minutes, especially with his shooting percentages already under a microscope.

Top three point shooter in summer AAU last summer or the summer before. I hadn't realized he had grown 4 inches since his verbal to Cali.

Seems like a great kid, can't wait to watch him this year!

Same take I came away with. He impresses with his stroke but it's only a game of CATS so we'll have to wait to see how he does against D1 competition in real games. But, he sure seemed like a great kid, that's what really came through and impressed me the most. Cal sure gets high quality kids in our program and I'm thankful for that. And, they can ball too!!!

This guy has one of the most beautiful strokes in college basketball, but he has a ways to go improving his defense and other facets of his game before he will see big time minutes in the future. Kind of think like Kyle wiltjer duties in his freshman year..

I agree. Cal is going to get Diallo to the nba no matter what, so Baker will have to scrape for the leftovers from one or two other spots.

Viscous cycle. Baker will either leave unnecessarily early for the pros, or transfer. Just don't see him ever getting lots of minutes given the position he plays. Many on here will say "he'll play a lot as a sophomore". Wrong...wrong. He'll be recruited over and not get priority. Not hating on Cal, his job is to get the best players available every year. Guys like Baker (or Wiltjer, Lee, Matthews, etc) are just casualities along the way.

Not necessarily. We just had 2 seniors graduate who were victory cigars for their first 2 years and then solid contributors as juniors & seniors. Mind you they were both Kentucky boys. But hopefully not every not OAD has the impatience of Poole and Matthews.

Seems like a great kid. Think he'll be around a couple of years and will play a huge role for us.

Rex should GTFO

That's just freakin ridiculous. If you can't forgive someone as beloved as Rex Chapman for mistakes made while under the pull of addiction, then something is wrong with you. You may see whatever when you see Rex now but I am so happy to see him beating this addiction thing. The addiction epidemic is wide spread and it's great to see someone beating it for once. It makes it that much better that it's a beloved player like Rex. I cheer every damn time I see him do something like this and now he's putting his name up to bring awareness to addiction. So, you can GTFO all you want but I'm pulling for my guy Rex and it's great to see him around UK.

I don't think it's impatience. I think it's probably good decisions on behalf of Matthews and Poole (in terms of playing time). Doesn't matter how long players stay, it won't boost their minutes.
