With the continuing success of NCC, now under Brad Spencer, does anyone know if Coach Thorne is coaching anywhere? Seem to remember he left NCC to become OC at Western Michigan, but that ended when their coach was fired? He’s now the OC at Iowa.
Coach Thorne did an amazing job at NCC. Hoping he’s coaching somewhere.

Not coaching he works for Go Route which is a popular practice management program used by high school and college teams. He took a few years off since he wanted to watch his son play, with his career over I would expect to see him coaching again very soon.

Ran into Coach Thorne on the golf course this past summer and he said he was going to look to get back into coaching after the season but that he’s enjoying not working the long hours. Would have to be a perfect fit.

I would think something like the open IWU job would be a great fit for him.

Great coach and, like ND's Hennesy, a profoundly decent man.

You can learn a lot about a coach and a man by observing his sideline demeanor, especially when a late call goes unfairly against him, costing his team a state championship.

Question: Can a ref reverse himself on the field when he knows he blew a call? Does he do the right thing, or does try to maintain an aura of authority?

If his finances is in order and he could afford a step down from College pay I think a great story would be a Thorne return to WWS to revive a once powerful program that's kinda been par at best in recent years.

D3 pay is not much better than a Teacher's pay, but he is probably done teaching too.

WWS would just have to allow him to keep his sales job and coach football.

He was well paid at NCC…I believe in the 150k range
