I remember RSS members saying Russell Wilson wasn't much as a transfer from NC State to Wisconsin back in 2011.
He was a sub 60% passer with 25 INTs in his previous 2 seasons before he ended up at Wisky for his Senior year.
I'd take a giant stab at a 6'3" kid that is faster than anybody on the field and has an arm cannon.
idk but I heard on the radio that someone knew from a "very good source" that Chubba Purdys the guy. Which I would be plenty stoked for! I mean, Whipple had to be pitching to the kid that he was gonna be at Nebraska lol

Needs a new venue. And if Mr. Charmin is as good as we think, he'd get some good stuff out of Sims. You can never coach fast-twitch amazing athleticism like what Sims has.
I'm pretty skeptical of taking on any transfer QB who isn't a perfect fit for what Whipple prefers to do. I know he's said that he will adjust to his talent and adjust to Frost's wishes & ideas.
But if this is supposed to be a one year/ make or break deal, wouldn't Whipple be more likely to succeed if he didn't have to make so many adjustments?

I take your point, but I feel like that is the exception rather than the rule. Would prefer less of a diamond in the rough personally.
