Of course, now we have to wait for Obama's bracket - as if he doesn't have better things to do. I hope he picks against us.

It's understandable, but you can't really give a lot of flak to politicians on their picks. Like most things, (and even KY politicians do it as well), you look for any and all ways to please constituencies and potential voters. Jeb is thinking of running for President next year-----Kentucky is showing solid Republican right now when it comes to the Presidential ticket------Virginia has always been a swing state. No need to unnecessarily tick off a block of potential Virginia voters if you can help it. He's not hating, he's just being political.

Exactly why Obama picked North Carolina in 2012 instead of Kentucky.

I wasn't going to vote for him anyway so I'll let his plugging a swing state slide. So long as we beat Wisconsin Paul Walker still has my vote.

Actually though my bracket is almost identical to Jeb's other than his picking his old homestate Baylor to advance and I have Villanova over Virginia and Duke over Villanova before we win it all.

The only slightly disturbing thing is his use of "Ken" and "Vir" for Kentucky and Virginia. Knowledgeable sports fans would generally put "UK" and "UVA". Troubling...

Did you see Yasiel Puig's bracket? He used "Virginia" for WVU and "Dame" for Notre Dame. I usually go with KY and VA for Kentucky and Virginia myself.

As soon as I saw that he filled it out on an actual news paper I knew everything I needed to know. I bet he still turns in his pop bottles at the seven eleven too

Dude picked Baylor to come out of the Wisconsin/Arizona region. That told me all I needed to know about his bracket.

Not to mention it's about a mile from the white house to the state of VIR and is "inside the beltway" which is the home of all that's wrong with this country.

It was political for sure....not just because of VIR being a swing state.

Obviously you don't understand what this thread is about. However, since you went off topic and made your choice known, it makes me wonder if you would use the same logic and pick your doctor's wife to do your upcoming brain surgery.

Yeah, who couldn't get into UT's law school regardless of Daddy's connections. He was still a Yankee to most decent Texans. He went wack after that, and moved to a state where it was easier for his wife to smuggle jewelry.

Deborah Norville had a nice comment on Obamy's pick of UK....'Yeah, you and half of the Western Civilization picked Kentucky'...

Just felt like posting a few points...

1. I like Jeb Bush... I'm hoping to see his name on the ballot so I can vote him.

3. Politicians are about as credible as the office secretary when it comes to filling out brackets. Their motivations for picking winners are no more reasonable than picking the the coolest mascot.

#2 redacted after getting the context

why the hell does this merit a thread . Good lord i thought that one thing we all could agree on whether we are Democrats , Republicans or Independent ( like myself) is that that whole family is shot to hell and about as smart as a cock roach . Good lord as Florida resident i was thanking my lucky stars that idiot was out .

Samwise is a Saudi prince who has $5 mil sunk in Hilalry's "foundation" and some dicey emails sent when she was Secretary of State, so he has a rooting interest in her candidacy.

Otherwise, he'd keep politics out of a brackets thread.
But you don't understand, It's only slimy and corrupt if a rich white republican is behind it. Hillary is a victim of the chauvinist American male and the the system which it's created.

seriously, I hope all those " 95 %ers" are ready to display the same ignorance toward the rich corrupt liberal as they were toward Romney. It's sad some people vote on party "name" alone and don't realize this is not a democratic party anymore. They have been infiltrated by the extreme left of the world and it's financial influence. It's just a common socialist party now, and everyone knows a socialist is nothing more than a communist in a suit.

Sorry about that, this is a basketball forum, I have no idea what got me side tracked. I'll slowly back out yet again.
