Both teams combined for 13-62 on 3 pointers with UNCs "future HOFers" going 1-11.. Color me unimpressed especially with Reddish and his shooting as well.. I don't care how many points they scored, there was zero defense and couldn't score much outside of wide open lay ups and dunks..

Give me Herro all day, who showed a wide variety of moves and knocked down multiple jumpers.. that will actually translate to the next level more so than what the other players showed tonight.

I also liked his 5 assists to 1 turnover ratio.

Thank you sir!
Langford 11 shots in 16 min of play,
e. Williams 44 pts in 23 minutes
Reddish 3-11 from 3; 18 shots in 26 min..
I get that it's an all-star game but it's pretty telling...we did miss out on bol I think. He would be a great C, just don't think he would of liked Cal forcing him to play under basket, he was like a gazelle running back on D...
Grimes is for real too.
Herro great all around, 5 assists,5boards 1 to, 3stls. Hope he likes to take charges, and play positional D, his lateral quickness can improve as well as staying in front of speed. Want to be at those summer pickup games for sure. Like what I saw. Bahamas cantget here soon enough! Go big blue!

He will only get 19k. He doesn’t care about not living in fancy college dorms. He will get constant teaching from NBA level coach’s and playing against pros night in and night out. His stats won’t be as good as it would be in college but he will be more ready for the NBA than he would have had he gone to college in the same way a UK player on the 2015 team is more ready for the NBA than a player playing at the D2 level

Playing in tiny arena's with small crowds, riding a bus to games, living on $36,000 paying for his own food and living space, 2nd rate training facilities, ZERO exposure.

The G-League SUCKS!!! Just ask Derek Willis.

I’m sure most will go overboard watching Emmitt tonight but those who have watched him before the night well tell you to calm down. He’s a very good high motor player but doesn’t score via skill in the Half court. He will get buckets because he will out work players but half court vs tall guys with his back to the basket will be a issue due to his lack of skill combined with his 6’6 height.

With that said he will still have a impact with his high motor

Emmitt Williams (LSU) is a BEAST. That kids gonna be great. LSU also has Naz Reid 6'-10" 250
LSU has a loaded class.
Emitt Williams 5 Star
Naz Reid 5 star
Ja'vonte Smart 4 star
Darius Days 4 star

Naz is supposed to be the best but after seeing Emmitt Williams play, DAMN. Reminds me of Bam Adebeyo

Except anyone who has watched him knows he doesn’t suck. Only those who just watch AllStar games and think that’s the end all be all. There is a reason he’s ranked high and scouts have him as a lotto pick

yea, he sucks. He would be an ok college player. Skinniest kid on the floor, not ready for the G League. But, his circle and family are seeing dollar signs, poor kid.

Some people need a new thing. During the summer the same people who loved Reddish game now say he’s not that good and he’s selfish lol. Even Calipari said he’s unselfish and that’s why he played him some at PG. The hypocrisy gets nauseating at times just because a player picks another school.

You know damn will if Herro thee the ball off a players back and he picked duke some would call him a thug and someone you hate already lol. Nothing wrong with admit it but don’t act like a player is all of a sudden bad because he didn’t pick UK.

All these players are good and can do something different from other players. Some will play better than others in college in year one and others will play better down the road.

IMO the best players in the class are Nassier Little, R.J and Zion hands down. Others are good like Colby White, Naz Reid when he doesn’t think he’s a PG, Johnson and Reddish

You can learn almost nothing from these types of games/scrimmages.
True. But you saw Herro’s skills shine brighter than most. You know he understands the game and you saw his lift on his shots and had the form and scorers touch we’ve missed for awhile.

Jimmy Chitwood just walked thru that door.

Shooting shows. It’s about the only thing you can get out of it.
And dribbling skills, quickness, agilities, and a few other traits that we learned from such games like Anthony Davis. You just knew what he was going to deliver at UK. With Herro, we’ve got ourselves a pure scorer from any spot on the floor in a variety of ways.

Going to be nice having at least one natural scoring guard again. Maybe Herro and Baker will play well together so we can have two good shooting/scorers out front on the floor together.

There wasn't anyone for Hero to pass the ball to. He did the only thing he coud do, inbound the ball to himself, which wasn't a bad idea considering once he gave it up he never saw it again!

Can you imagine stretching the floor with Wenyan, Herro, and Baker. We can be a serious nightmare next year if this roster settles right.

Looks like Quickley may be a decent shooter also. I think the key will be finding a big that can score regularly inside to open it up more for the shooters. Kind of worried about that.

If PJ returns(I see NO reason why he won't), he can post up and score, but Nick MUST show vast improvement on both ends for next year's team to reach it's top potential.

Yes, Richards and Jones need to pull a Humphries this summer and work their butts off on the weights and becoming effective back to the basket scorers. Think they both are capable just a matter of how much they want it. Forget the soft stuff, learn to play like they can't be stopped inside.

Slow down.

Calling someone a complete offensive threat based on having 13 points in a game where teams scored in the 140s while calling other guys lazy or selfish is just trying too hard.

We've been recruiting kids in these games long enough to know how it works by now. it's just for fun.

I agree. There were spurts of great athleticism by several players. The only take away I really had was Herro´s shot just looked natural and accurate. Other than that it was your typical all-star game. When Herro went to the bench, he did hang with KJ and they seemed to be having fun and and enjoying the festivities.
I would also say that Herro is taller than I expected, but a little thin. I think getting to UK early and getting the diet and gym going will be important to get him through a full SEC slate next year.
As much as we might not like to see or hear it, I was impressed with NC’s recruit NL. But agin, really hard in these games to see more than general athleticism and shooting.

Reddish couldn't take Little off the dribble. Little on the other hand scored every time he went one on one against Reddish. Again, not seeing Duke's freshman class as one which could make a run to a title.

Not Humphries, the big boy that stifled Sullinger.
