Hopefully he can stay healthy wherever he lands.
He’ll do well in the portal. Probably won’t find a starting spot on a top 25 team, but he can find a team that could use him on the field more than we could with our deep RB bench.
I would find a 2026 class RB now or a top RB that can push for RB1 if enough money is there , losing 2 from the room leaves 3 You can trust in a Game Today

I called this awhile ago. He should have been our #1 back this year. He practically won the game @ Rutgers this year. Thanks for the tough agressive running you did for us. Good luck in the future. My favorite run you had was the 60 yarder @ISU in 2023, I didn't know who you were then but have always been a fan since then.

I remember when he committed back in 2021. Recruiting was not going well at that moment. The annual big recruiting weekend had not yielded any commitments. His commitment came out of left field and seemed to get things rolling.

The guys Jaz fell behind were younger than him. How did they get “union cards”? Isn’t that a term usually used for guys who have been in the program longer?
Shouldn't be surprising. Iowa has a lot of talent in the RB room and we have seemed to get rid of the AIRBHG. Jaz deserves to shine on the field.

I disagree. I think he was better than Moulton and X. Williams. Didn't see enough of McNeil to really compare, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jaz have a 1000+ yard season next year, where ever he ends up...
Jaz was a hard runner who had zero vision.
McNeil appears to be the deal to me. Hope he gets a bunch of touches next year.

He did run hard….right into the middle of the pile rather than finding the cutback lane.
Dean has been moved to RB so a lot of players at that position. I wish him well.
He had 6 carries for 37 yards against Rutgers.
Iowa's RB room is fine, BUT it could really use a guy with top-end speed. I thought McNeil might be that guy, but now I think he's not quite it either. How many times did Iowa backs get caught from behind by the last guy?
One burner at WR and one at RB would do wonders for this offense next season.
Yes. All in the 2nd quarter until he sprained his ankle... he injected some hard-core running into our sputtering offense at the time.
very good change up back. reliable, great attitude, and fires up everybody else. never fumbled. all that said he made the right move and will help out a team that needs it. hope he does great wherever he goes.
