well this could be an important year for Cal

we'll be fine - the question is - can the Cuonzo Martin/Ben Howland's deliver these kids to the NBA - we might see a mass of kids in the future coming back to Calipari after seeing how their peers from the year before were mismanaged by other programs.

or it could be the opposite and show that if you have the talent the NBA will look past the program and seek you out regardless

Posters expected him to fail and wanted him to fail so the idea that you either go here or it hurts your draft status . He went to Cal and did fine , he wouldn't have went any higher attending UK . This obsession to prove players choices wrong is pointless .

You think Newman or Zimmerman may have been better off here?

I think they would have, personally - because their status was more fluid. Jaylen Brown had enough talent to go high and be drafted on potential no matter WHERE he went. Same thing with Ben Simmons.
UK fans, of all people, should know by now not all 5* players are created equal.

Per twitter(Chris Fisher with 247 sports) and on a separate note, straighthoops.com twitter account just predicted Brown to UK a few hours ago(he predicted Ingram, Diallo, and Newman correctly days before public announcement)... he is supposed to make an announcement after some banquet tonight. This is getting exciting!
