It seems like every year they are in a post season situation they don't deserve. And they usually get exposed.I hate ND, but they have the easiest path to the college football playoff of anyone . That’s why the sometimes end up there and always get throttled.
Yep. I can’t remember the last time they didn’t get exposed in a big spot . Maybe the last time was when the rocket was returning kicks. They did get screwed thenIt seems like every year they are in a post season situation they don't deserve. And they usually get exposed.
Yes by losing to Ohio State. Great point dummyThey went 12-1 last year and got annihilated by Clemson when Lawrence came back . Every time Notre dame gets to the playoff they get blown out . You could argue Clemson has an easier path , but Clemson proved they belong
I remember after the 2006 season they went to the Sugar Bowl and got annihilated by LSU. We were relegated to the Texas Bowl. I forget which tv guy it was but someone said on the air that Rutgers would have given LSU a much better game that year.Yep. I can’t remember the last time they didn’t get exposed in a big spot . None of those teams have made the playoffs with exception to ND. Twice. You’re argument is weak. 2020 was a weird year and you can’t blame scheduling. Ohio State barely played a season and made the playoff AND got beat worse by Alabama then ND didNotre Dame appeared in the College Playoff System in the 2018/2019 and 2020/2021 seasons. Each time, ND had to use the ACC to help secure a spot in the playoffs.
Here was ND schedule from the 2018/2019 playoff team:
Michigan, Ball State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Stanford, Va. Tech, Pitt, Navy, Fla. State, Northwestern, Syracuse, and USC.
We know Michigan is more hype than substance. USC is similar to Michigan these days. Northwestern was a solid team (8-5), but no way good enough to win. ND's first challenge of the season was in the playoffs against Clemson is we saw what happened. Not even close.
Here was ND schedule from the 2020/2021 playoff team:
Duke, South Florida, Fla. State, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Boston College, Syracuse, North Carolina, and Clemson.
UNC was a good team but madly inconsistent at times during the season. However, ND did beat Clemson when Clemson was without their star QB. In the return game, against Clemson, that missing QB led Clemson to an easy win over ND. ND has been a fraud since the later 80s.
ND belongs in the category of frauds along with Michigan, Texas, Miami, and Nebraska. Yet, every year, the pundits claim these teams will return to glory, and they sh*t the bed.
2006? Have you looked up the last 2 times ND has played LSU?I remember after the 2006 season they went to the Sugar Bowl and got annihilated by LSU. We were relegated to the Texas Bowl. I forget which tv guy it was but someone said on the air that Rutgers would have given LSU a much better game that year.
And that's where you missed the point. ND schedule is made to give them an easy path to the playoffs. ND didn't want any part of the B1G. Instead, they ran to the ACC, and even then, ND dictated the terms of the agreement to participate within the league. ND is living off its rep from years ago. Ohio State has a national championship (2014) and beat a great Alabama team on the way to that chip. Last year, OSU beat Clemson. Has ND accomplished any of this?None of those teams have made the playoffs with exception to ND. Twice. You’re argument is weak. 2020 was a weird year and you can’t blame scheduling.
