EO shoots 68.5% at the rim. Davis and Mark combine to take more shots at the rim and shoot about 45%. Darren takes the same number and shoots 65%. Grant takes the most on the team and shoots 69%. Our guards suck at the rim. Our big is just not talented.

Pike is the one calling plays and sub patterns in game, I watch him do it every game. You want to tell me Knight has the most say in designing offensive gameplans I'd agree with that...he's the most senior and highest paid assistant we have. Knight takes soooooo much slack around here based on so many message baord assumptions far from facts.
My guess is you've only spent time behind the bench at middle school games. Young as Pikiel's number one guy is probably the only reason Pikiel has ever had any success at all. Maybe pay attention.
I'm sure everyone is involved in the offense. The mods however have indicated that Knight shoulders most of the responsibility.
If Jay Young is such a good big man coach, why does EO still not know how to play against a PnR, why does EO not know to go right back up w a ball underneath rather than bringing it down, why is Dortch still lost outside his athleticism?.

Again, Jay Young was Pike's lead assistant for his good teams at RU and Stonybrook. I only want him as an interim anyway, then a new coach next year. In the long run keeping Pike will cost us more than the $4,000,000 we have to give him next year. Rutgers doesn't see that and that is one of the reasons we are always swimming upstream.
You left out that the guards can’t shoot or defend 1:1 either. But if you look past those few trivial shortcomings, emphasis on short, they are just as good as every walk-on guard in the conference.

No they don’t go beyond talent. The players you mention, and others, are drastically unfit for big time ball. Mentally hopeless and unskilled. They’d be just as bad anywhere.
