After Murray was picked, Jay Williams spent his entire segment trashing Murray's defense.

Could have sworn with the other players he actually highlighted their strengths?

Strange considering Curry plays poor defense but still won a title , it's not the end all be all to being an effective player . Defense is one of the easiest things to improve , it mostly takes desire so long as you are somewhat mobile .

The SOB had all the film cued up and ready to trash Murray, including pics of guards he would be defending.
Someone said he trashed KAT last year too.

It was blatant. Especially since he had to have the video ready. Not like he could pretend it was off the cuff.

It was a premeditated, orchestrated hit on UK's best draft pick. Still haven't really heard anyone else criticized. But don't worry...Skal is still to come.

Doesnt just about every analyst on ESPN take that approach to UK? For years they've focused on the negatives where they focus on positives with everyone else. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can figure out why they do it.

Your damn right it was blatant. I think he was sending a message to recruits that Cal doesn't prepare players for the NBA as much as people think. I'm so sick of ESPN and their BS. Here it is June and this is the 1st time I've had ESPN on since the season was over and I'm instantly pissed. At least they're consistent I guess.

I think it was more a JW thing than as ESPN thing and I hate ESPN.

Cal and UK have been all over ESPN today.

He does it because he know things like this will happen. I mean you started a thread about it. How many people are twittering (kidding) or posting on any and every social media platform about it? He's a media talking head and knows BBN responds to him. You validated his tactic.

No, I called him out on it.

He didn't trash Murray and only Murray solely for attention. There's an agenda at work and light should be shone on it.

Why do you think Christian Leattner (I know I didn't spell his last name correctly) because UK allows him too be!!! Your welcome Duke!!! Your relevant, because of us!

Think about the history of UK basketball, rupp hall, Sutton, pitino, smith and cal.....(not mentioning the obvious) I know even ones before rupp....my point being, once rat face leaves duke, they will fall back to mediocred......UK, will march on

Cal is the only one blocking K from dominating every ounce of college basketball, and people like Williams (who was on Kentucky all season, trolling Ulis and Murray) are fully aware of it as well as the fact that Cal is the only coach who is minimally calling Duke out on their BS lately.

Williams did his part to trash Calipari tonight. It was fairly obvious.

The message: look at how Murray can't play defense! Why can't he position himself correctly. TRANSLATED: Kentucky didn't prepare him defensively for the league.

I noticed that as well.

On a side note is it just me or does Brandon Ingram look like he just smoked a fat one all the time.

I was watching it at the bar, but with no sound. I kind of remember his segment wondering "Why does it look like he's trashing our players".

With guys like Goodman, Williams, Le Batard and Dakich spitting on UK and Espn sticking their heads in the sand regarding the UNCheat scandal it becomes harder and harder to watch anything on that network other than bb games.
