I know that I can't say that UK would have beaten UNC for the title that year, I'm not a psychic. They did beat them early in the season and both teams were two totally different teams by tournament time.

I know these talking heads just give their opinion, but they need to realize that it's impossible to decide the winner because UK made the Final Four and Title Game......UNC did not. So, we never had the chance to find out!

Actually, UK won by one at home which means UK did not cover the spread. But UK did win.
And UNC was on an equal upward trajectory just like UK leading to a possible tourney meeting. Maybe slightly higher. Henson was improving dramatically as was Davis. If all players were healthy, it would have been a "game for the ages". The momentum was in UNC's favor. But it doesn't matter, UK won the NC.

The same UNC team that got beat by FSU by 33 while fully healthy, and lost 6 games ? The trajectory of much more talented players playing in thier fifth ever college game is much higher than returning jrs & soph starters from a year ago. Henson shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Davis ( NPOY,NDPOY,FF MOP, SEC POY).
