It hurt us when Vanderzee was out. By the end those catches he was making were lights out. I never really understood how Seth Anderson wasn't better.

Yeah. Running the ball is super high on God's wish list.

Jay was a big starter at strong safety for Iowa. Maybe 6-3, over 200, maybe 210 pounds. He hit hard.

I believe he took over the job after Mike Stoops graduated- and Mike was also a fine SS- 1st Team All-Big Ten in fact.
