Not nearly as much as several others I could name. However, Dicky V. is the absolute WORST!! He is Beth Mowins bad.
Give me Beth Mowins all day before you make me listen to Walton.
I used to could tolerate him, but I was listening to him last night and thought God, he’s actually gotten worse the last few years.
Jay Bilas is a very knowledgeable broadcaster but he is also an insufferable douche.
Sports announcing has become rasslin’. Say whatever to get yourself talked about, if you are trending on Twitter, it’s a success. Get the clicks, that’s what is important. Good guy or rasslin’ heel; say whatever you have to say even if you don’t believe it to get the clicks. Stephen A Smith is a perfect example. If you take him seriously, it will piss you off, but if you take it as rasslin’ it’s pretty funny. IMO.

Bilas is a lawyer. How he thinks and phrases things, especially that which he dislikes, is typically in a legal argument format.
I can see that being aggregating.

Can someone tell me why he was put in front of the camera in the first place? His style was sort of like porn. It holds your attention the few times you hear it because it differs entirely from anything you've heard. Then you realize it sounds like the same grunts, screams, and orgasms you heard the last time you turned the show on, so you mute it or change the channel.

I watched 15min of the ASU v USC game last night. I couldn't take any more of it because of Walton.
He is straight up 17ing awful and I would be really pissed if I were a fan of a PAC12 team because I would have to hear him so often.
In 15min he claimed at least 10 times that the PAC12 is the conference of champions...and that was the best of his commentary.

Hands down. Met him in Starkville during the 2004 season. CBS did a National Broadcast game. Very nice guy. Hell of a voice.
Haha. Funny. Now his dad was really good and loved State. He did the call of Don Smith vs TN in 1986. I was there and burned my *** up… but we won.
