I believe we have to start recognizing that great Kentucky High School players don't translate more often than not to great college players. Think about it. Perry was the most historical scoring champion in H.S. and can't hit the broadside of a barn. Jasper stinks and is not ready. Noah is just O.K. Other than Reed who actually tanked in the tournament (but that may be due to Cal's stupid coaching), name the great Kentucky players of the past few years.

His problem is that it looks like he's ever been taught the game with an emphasis on actually winning game.

He COULD be a pretty good player in the future if he embraces this concept.

Noah isn't okay. He's awful.

ENTITLED and soft. No way he accepts hard coaching. Kid has played AAU ball for too long.
Then he will never be more than a g league player. He needs hard coaching and a defined role. He would excel as a corner shooter if he would guard on defense.

Askew was better lol
No he wasn't....but regardless...it was another huge talent evaluation mistake (along with Garrison, Lowe, Jelly and counting on Quantenance) by Pope.

Jasper was tiny, played in a rec league/AAU skam that Overtime elite is showing year after year that kids go there to hide their warts and hype up non traditional bball skills. And his mental IQ and maturity are worse than his lack of strength.

Yep. Who has really improved this year?
DA and MO, that’s about it. DA still want to take too many heat checks but I wish he would take over games like Oweh tries to do. DA can actually make an occasional shot.

Please stay off JJ back, its not his fault the coach sucks, Jasper plays better than a lot of the other players, to me Moreno is worse, a 7 footer who can't jumb, rebound or score....

DA did get better at PG, but he's a senior. Not a good developer at head coach.

JJ is a freshman. Back in the day freshman would not play on the varsity teams for a reason.

We are so used to the dudes that Cal used to be able to recruit that were ahead of their age. Not everyone was John Wall. LETS remember Brandon Boston.

I would suggest everyone to chill out and not to bash our freshmen , especially after a lost game.

if JJ. works at his game, get physically and mentally stronger and sticks with UK and UK with him, we might enjoy his upperclassman years.

Chris Harrison is another example. Chris Lofton seemed to do well at UT.

I don't want to bash the guy, so I'll just say that he needs to find an intense coach who won't put up with his "get mine" mentality. Doubt his family wants that though.
