No but it’s up thereWas that the greatest single pitching performance in UNC history???
That is what you call a dominant performance.2 hits, 1 walk and a USC runner never even reached 2B.
What are the better ones, particularly considering the stakes? No but it’s up there
I think I heard during the brief interview with him that he forced 14 batters into an 0-2 count ... that's bonkers2 hits, 1 walk and a USC runner never even reached 2B.

Ok, but Omaha is a whole another level. And woodard did it at old Rosenblatt. We’re splitting hairs here on awesome performances thoughThe Woodard game wasn't an elimination game and he did give up two doubles.
The Johnson game against State was probably equivalent or higher stakes - an elimination game against a hated rival in the CWS. But he gave up 5 hits. Not sure that is a better pitching performance.
Yes, but you have to combine stakes and performance. I don't think a non-elimination game in Omaha is equivalent to an elimination game in the Supers.Ok, but Omaha is a whole another level. And woodard did it at old Rosenblatt. We’re splitting hairs here on awesome performances though

Also, SC was on an absolute offensive heater coming into this game. And De Caro was coming off two shaky starts.
All things considered, I think it is the best UNC pitching performance of my lifetime.

Been wondering if we’ve ever had a complete game shutout in the supers or CWS. I doubt it.Was that the greatest single pitching performance in UNC history???

He and Gaines worked on what they’d call in 2-strike counts this week. Clearly a genius session by both.I think I heard during the brief interview with him that he forced 14 batters into an 0-2 count ... that's bonkers
