Heard he's deciding tonight(?) Just finished a visit to ASU over the weekend; I can't imagine any kid whose serious about football would go play for Herm, but who knows, stranger things have happened. I'm guessing it's between UCLA and Nebraska. Hope Frost and the staff can pull this one off because he's gunna be very good. GBR

Just watched his highlight real. At 4:30 minute mark I finally shut it off as every play as an offensive linemen he pancaked someone. That is not a figure of speech, he literally pancaked someone on every play up until that point. You don't have to keep watching to know he is either freaking great or he is playing against nobodies. Rivals has him as the #9 Guard nationally so I will go with he is freaking great.

He is definitely nasty! in the mold of a Cognito. He was also playing against some undersized D ends for sure. Would love to see what he does against better competition.

When he commits- NU will move up to #18 tied with South Carolina in the Rivals team rankings.

However with FSU, A&M and Florida under 20 players- expect all of them and possibly UCLA to pass NU. Additional 4 star signings (jones) and displacement could allow NU to catch Oregon and VA Tech.

I don't think it will take that long. That AD there is clueless. Making a new Head Coach keep both coordinators. If the coordinators were good at their job why were they looking for a HC?

And both coordinators left after they hired Herm. So that plan didn't really work out from the start.

If Frost & Co. are in SoCal today they should head another 30 minutes east and try to pick up Jeremiah Martin, a 4* DE that is still uncommitted. Long shot for sure, but he has a 6'4" dual-threat QB teammate that put up ridiculous numbers last season (2019 prospect).

Wonder if Frost is still making an in-home tonight.
That is disappointing
However I like how this coaching staff is organized and on point
They seem to have backup plans in place and backup plans in place for the backup plans
Their war room from here looks like it's a well oiled machine working at a very high level
They are going to finish with who they need and with a splash
Im hoping this player is N- if not, next man up

What really determines the strength of your recruiting is the difference between your plan A guys - you sign only a few of these - and your plan B-C and D options. If there is only a slight drop as you go from A to D you are in good shape. Our difficulty in the past was that there was a cliff dive if we didn’t get our plan A or B.

Wonder if the coaches had any part of this decision to push back his commitment...

Maybe he was all N until Tennessee decided to offer $omething.

Maybe the coaches asked him to hold off on committing... What if they are talking with the current players and finding out who might leave after spring as a grad transfer and the coaches are deciding to hold off on letting an OL recruit commit until they try to fill the open slot. If they can't fill the open slot, maybe they let Bell commit.

I don' think so, think this is all Bell...they want(ed) him

Curious how McDonald's visit is handled this weekend. Interesting scenario playing out on this one.

Yep, I expect them to give Bell the choice to jump on board or risk giving his spot to another OL like McDonald, Sampson, Hamilton.

Hope Frost has a decent plan B, because once the bagmen get involved, it usually doesn't work out well for Nebraska.

Is there a way Nebraska can flush out SEC cheating corruption, maybe simply ask recruits, "What is this SEC school offering you exactly? We feel Nebraska has a lot to offer."

I remember reading a small book about 15 years ago written by either Ron brown or turner gill I think

There was a chapter in it That talked about how back in the Wild West days of the southwest conference nu would ask a series of probing but not blunt questions that would tell them if the player was looking for money and if that was his criteria for choosing a school

Nu doesn't miss out on every kid because of money
But it does happen

What else could it be? We have the best facilities, the hottest coach on the market, the world's greatest fans, all four seasons, super cute co-eds, and we are within 24 hours' driving distance or a short flight with only one or two connections from almost anywhere. Its such a no-brainer for any recruit that there can be no other explanation.

I noticed that a few days ago. Texted a buddy. I said, I don't normally watch much tape on prospective recruits, and I don't get too excited about the plays they make on tape for a number of reasons, but this kid literally has pancaked his opponent on every single play, and I was only two and a half mins into it. I loved it. It appears as though he's happier than a pig in $#!t out there knocking people down. The guys who take joy in pummeling opponents are the guys you want.
