On KSR this morning they read an update from his family. They said his heart and kidneys were slightly better but that he is still in bad shape. At least he is a little better.
Thank you. That’s a little bit of encouraging news.

Ugh. Sounds like sepsis. That’s never good.
Mom fought that a few times. The earlier it’s caught the better the outcome.

Prayers for Jared and his family.

As tot eh earlier posts, I misread them to a degree. My apologies.

My thoughts too. My dad was septic and his kidneys began to fail. He was on dialysis around the clock for a couple of weeks. Thankfully he pulled through but is still having heart issues. He is in his 70s though, so I guess it comes with the territory.

Mom was a paraplegic so her kidneys were already taking a hit. Then after we fought a pressure sore that just wouldn't heal, sepsis set in. She fought it off, but the infection got to the bone. And after getting better and worse over a month, encephalitis set in. And they couldn't keep the swelling down. And then renal failure to her already weakened kidneys. Mom slipped into a coma and that was that. Sepsis is extremely dangerous. I sadly know first hand what Jared is probably fighting. And it just brings back awful feelings.

I hate to watch anyone go through what I did with Mom.
