Who’s paying? If you can’t move from Nashville to Memphis how you gonna afford the High profile lawyer? And correct me if I’m wrong but if he was doing it pro bono wouldn’t that be an impermissible benefit?
Was this the only pro bono case the lawyer has taken? If so, was it only because he is a collegiate athlete and that there is an expectation of profiting or gaining some type of benefit in excess of this legal case. And, can you provide us the evidence that proves this?

It’s not a problem. At one time anyone connected to UK athletics always used the same criminal attorney if they got in trouble in Lexington. I don’t think it was a coincidence and I don’t think it constitutes an impermissible benefit.

Unlike Mitt and twitter, you can't like your own posts on this site. lmao. Well I guess and expect you to create another alias and like them.....like Mitt did.
Why would I need to like myself? Do you really take likes on an anonymous online message board that seriously?

I'm just asking if you are like Mitt since you decided to use the same alias as Mitt. Why so defensive?
How would using a funny pseudonym, openly known by all, make me like Mitt Romney? I think you may be trying to overthink things just a bit.

Asking questions is defensive?

What's it like to watch UK have all the fun Memphis had for a short period of time? Apparently, it's so bad for you to watch that you had to create screen name and come over here to vent. Keep posting.... Butthurt Memphis, U of L, etc fans give me a HUGE smile every time they post here because I know they are angry because we're having a party and they're not invited. [roll]

When did Memphis have fun?

I have had a pretty good time watching our first 2 games this year. The MSU game was a lot of fun. And I have family who graduated from EKU, so we went to that game and had a blast as well. Not sure why my "fun" would revolve around Memphis, U of L, but to each their own I suppose.

And can you please tell us, what is this "butthurt" you speak of? I am guessing you have experiencing with it, so maybe you could fill us in?

Sounds like you might have WDS. Or Wiseman Derangement Syndrome. You might wanna see someone about that.

What comedy. Your boy is toast. Every single game he plays is an automatic forfeit. The moronic coach flounders. You are frantic in defense of an obviously inadmissible legal benefit. Meanwhile the scumversity of Memphis awaits its fate as a smoking hole.

Amazing that such entertainment is free.

He is not my boy, I am just not ate up with the derangement syndrome many of you have towards Wiseman, Penny and Memphis. It is the same people who were ate with Zion, Bagley, Barrett, Bolden, Cunningham and so forth. If they don't choose UK it becomes attack, attack, attack. You all become consumed by it and allow them to control you. It is really not healthy.

I would wager you that Memphis will get Wiseman cleared this year. He should and likely will sit some games and repay the money to a charity, but he will play in the end and UK will still finish well ahead of them. No reason to let it eat you up.

LOL!!! Sure sure. Penny pissed on the NCAAs face. Not likely to forget that. Dunno whether you can read or not, but corruption has been rampant with the shoe money. It’s kinda news. U6 was hiring under age hookers. It’s kinda news. Zion was on the take. It’s kinda news. Penny paid a recruit. It’s kinda news.

You should read the news. Not knowing is eating you up inside.

I don’t have any evidence. I’m asking a hypothetical. Just giving an example how he is either actually paying (doubtful given he took money to move) or getting a benefit of a free lawyer bc he plays for Memphis. Ie impermissible benefit

This is not some anonymous message board. This is Rupp F'n Rafters. We get more action than Wilt Chamberlain at the Bunny Ranch.

Exactly.

How in the world are people thinking Memphis/Penny are in the clear here?

I see Memphis media taking up for them.

Like this garbage: “sure, Memphis might have broken a rule, but the NCAA is stupid.” Nice argument.

He is probably calling it pro bono but someone is covering the cost behind the scenes.

Forget the payment behind the scenes. Even if truly working for no money, isn’t that an impermissible benefit? Does wisemen get free work bc that’s all this Guy does or is it bc he is a Memphis fan and wiseman plays for Memphis

I think the tweet proves the opposite of what she intended for it to prove. Your parents have you make the bed to teach you responsibility, and that not following the rules has punishments.

It makes sense that someone who didn’t think making the bed mattered would think that none of the rules matter.
