he was a zero factor. Jamari came up big, other than Hartzog with the INT, don't recall many other standouts on Saturday.
That and OSU has pretty good OTs.Howard only had 16 drop backs, so it makes sense why he wouldn’t have been that big of a factor.
Their OT play might keep them from winning a title. The player that got hurt later in the game looked flat out bad. That and OSU has pretty good OTs.
IF I recall correctly their starting LT is out with an injury. There aren't many if any "bad" players in their 2 deep. Most of them would start for us.Their OT play might keep them from winning a title. The player that got hurt later in the game looked flat out bad.
Their LT was about as bad as Corcoran was last year. Their line struggled and was one of the main reasons the game was even close.IF I recall correctly their starting LT is out with an injury. There aren't many if any "bad" players in their 2 deep. Most of them would start for us.
So why did Williams disappear then?Their LT was about as bad as Corcoran was last year. Their line struggled and was one of the main reasons the game was even close.
Because their LG was very good and was able to cover for the LT at times. Butler and the DT's were also making plays. Pressure doesn't always have to come from the same place. So why did Williams disappear then?
I think he's only got one factor to defend, speed. He needs more muscles. So why did Williams disappear then?
ah.......not the one side. He had glimpses of #69 for Nebraska. That and OSU has pretty good OTs.
I thought he played pretty well on SaturdaySo why did Williams disappear then?

We need to get some of those DBs who make a mildly good play then get a 15 yard flag for pretending to shoot the opponent with a mimed gun. Then we’ll be backLet's see. To the naked eye...10 and 48 played well. I also thought Singleton flew around better than he had all season. That dude was a walking hit stick Saturday.
5 was a bit more quiet than normal. I was disappointed in Gifford. Imo he's on the struggle bus and has been on it for a while now. I love the person but always thought he's not quite athletic/fast enough to be an elite Safety. But not quite big enough to swing down to LB. I think he's a "football player" and I love him but moving forward we are gonna need better athletes on the back end. Not just him either. Same could be said for older Buford and Hartzog as well. Great character guys but not "dudes". It's a fine line between having those dudes and putting some playmakers on the field.
Holla
Gifford looked like a better player last year. His coverage skills and 1-1 tackling seem to have regressed off. I think playing with Quinton Newsome helped hide some of his deficiencies.Let's see. DCs found him. They try to make him have to make a decision. They identified that sometimes (not all the times) if he has to make a decision that he'll hesitate for a spit second that he can't recover from or in the case of that QB keep on the zone read for a first down he'll make a bad choice. He's still a good college player but those kind of things on film hurt him.Gifford looked like a better player last year. His coverage skills and 1-1 tackling seem to have regressed off.
