Even if Onyenso sticks around and is the starter, I would be fine with Sharp as a backup.

Shot blockers. You just can’t have too many shot blockers (is that how it goes?).
Yeah we all would, but you realize players like this enter the portal for bigger roles. He isn’t trying to be a backup and play 6 minutes a game.

Most likely.

Unless he wants to play at UK and the NIL money is better being a backup at UK than being a starter somewhere else.

But you hit the nail on the head, the problem is finding a quality backup Center in the portal. We aren’t getting someone who can start somewhere else.

Let's hear your pitch to those guys given the current state of the roster.
Are you willing to top their best NIL offer?
Are you willing to guarantee minutes, starting position, role in offense etc?
Please tell me your not going to pitch the UK tradition and winning a title.
Most of these kids aren't really upset with their current schools, they're just chasing NIL dollars, more exposure, bigger role etc.
Going to a school to help win a title is way down on all the top guys lists.
the "current" state of the roster has no center with experience, no forward with experience
Personally, I would have gone after the kid from Oregon and played hm, Edwars & Bradshaw
Bradshaw and Ware could have played both inside & out. But ccc is sitting & waiting for a decision from Livingston, reeves, Dickinison & Oscar.
He will never learn. Even if Livingston returns, he is limited offensively & ccc has apparently promised Bradshaw to be the 2nd coming of Kevin Durant
Regarding tradition, ccc has destroyed that along with any hope of winning a title as long as he is coach.
NIL, I know nothing about, except that the players are now employees of the university and should not be holding the university hostage, deciding what they want to do or what position they want to play

He was never that impressive at Western.
Well most have their own opinion on Beard but he can coach regardless of all the other crap he has gotten into.I suspect he will motivate Sharp into a decent defensive player.I mean Calipari made contact with Sharp so obviously he saw something.Beard has so far got 3 decent portal additions in Brandon Murray,Austin Nunez and Sharp. No,they aren't freshmen 5 stars but with the right coach that will utilize their strengths, they can contribute.Beard will coach them.

Why can't we get someone who could start somewhere else? We've historically landed plenty of quality bench players who were good enough to start at other programs. Our six-figure NIL package to bench players only makes the appeal even stronger.
