You are
I rarely second-guess Cal but not taking Thomas Bryant when he would have crawled to Lexington was a major miscalculation. Bryant would have put the Cats over the hump that season.
You are exactly right! Also who would have thought skal would have been that big of a bust

Offensively at UK, Murray should have played the Pg and Ullis the 2G!!
Why?

Murray shot 40.8% from 3 while taking a really high volume (7.7 attempts per game). Ulis shot 34.4% on far fewer attempts.

Murray and Ulis were a great combo used together as they were. The problem with that team was that the rest of the roster outside of those 2 was the Island of Misfit Toys, almost certainly the 2nd weakest roster Cal's had at UK (I'd rate the overall roster talent below 17-18).

That might have been an NIT team without Murray, and it's unfortunate he had such a crap shooting day against IU- although people forget that outside of the 3 point shooting, Murray still played pretty well that game, with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. The real culprits in that loss were UK's frontcourt players.

Murray will be the next ex-Wildcat player to join the 50 point club. By becoming the 11th ex- UK player to score 50 or more points in an ABA or NBA game.

i figured if the game opens up he could be a poor man’s steph curry. which is what he is. but if you’re doing that in the playoffs you’re going to get a lot of shine. and he’s a lot younger.
He reminds me more of Kyrie. Seems to be a lot better teammate too. If the nuggets core stays together I think they could be the next dominant team in the NBA.
