Other than the recent thread that included some random odds regarding where Hurts and Wimbush would land, it doesn't seem like there's been much smoke around any of these guys going to MSU since Bryant. Think Joe has decided to simply work with what he has or maybe he's playing things closer to the vest this time around?

Good observation. Maybe Justin Fields, but who knows if there was much interest there on Fields’ part. Can’t blame the staff for making a run at him either way.

That kid never seemed to be anything but a class act. Will wish him well in all of his future endeavors. Personally hope he gets a shot a Bama while he is a sooner. Tua might be a better quarterback, but Jalen was always the better man to me. Do not often wish an ex Bama player success, in this case I hope things work out for him.

Completely agree. Hurts reminds me a little bit of Dak. Maybe not the best QB in the first 3 quarters, but he's a leader and with the game on the line, he is clutch. And the character of both is top notch.

.........Hope he plays Saban.
Glad he is going somewhere where he thinks he can be successful. Can't believe OU is blocking Kendall from going where he wants. I'm glad the SEC changed that. Seems kind of messed up to get transfers from TTech and TAMU that won the heisman from you, then tell the guy he can't transfer anywhere he wants. Which they are blocking him from Big 12 schools and any school they play in the next two seasons. bush league move.

Some smoke around Buchele (sp?) from Texas, but apparently he has to stay through the end of the spring before he can graduate.

I'm surprised he's going there. I wouldn't think he's a slam dunk starter but they must have told him he is the front runner.

Pundits figured that had the least chance

Because his ex coaches were at the other two schools. Just like Mullen with Scam it ultimately is a "business decision" based on the "contract".
