Watching how much praise they lavished on him for staying when he could have transferred.. all I could think of was... well, nevermind.
They were lucky he did stay, not sure their #3 could have pulled that one out yesterday.
While i’m not, and never was, a big fan of Gebbia...comparing his situation to this is silly. One started for the top team in the Country and that same team was expected to win it all this year. Was passed over for an equally good player that is a better passer. The fact he started two years would still make him a probable NFL pick on reputation alone. The other never started, was recruited for a different offense, new coach made it clear he wanted his guy and the team he was in wasn’t any good. Only an idiot stays to ride pine for a bad team with no real hope of legitimately winning the job. He can go to just about any bad team and get PT.
