If our lineup is hardy, grady, ty ty, Collins, oscar
That would be the best lineup we've had in years. Right there with starting 5 of 12/15

Hardy and grady would be the best scoring playmaking combo uk has had together in cals tenure. Huge words I know but those are 2 studs

I’m pretty sure Ulis and Murray better, and maybe Fox and Monk

IF Cal got hardy to flip to UK it would be the biggest recruiting pull for him all time. Bigger than pulling Knox or Murray out of no where easily. That said I'm not going to drink the Kool Aid just bc a newly acquired KSR team needs to pump their traffic up and they "made some calls". When was the last time KSR brought anything to the table recruiting wise?

TyTy moving his commitment is more likely so UK has some good news to go with the bad on the 15th instead of fans getting their hopes up for Hardy. If Hardy comes to UK I'll happily be wrong.

It was the same day they aired that show that was unbiased and completely objective.

I haven't looked at a KSR anything in years so I have no idea what show you speak of lol
There's a difference between KSR the radio show and KSR the website. There isn't an article on the website for everything that comes out of Matt's mouth on the radio.

Why would I care what Matt Jones has to say? Thats not a political thing it's just IDT hes very in touch with anything UK outside of running the fluff.

Really? Huh.
Yes, really. They are 2 different things. One is a website, the other is a radio show. Not that hard to comprehend.

Earlier in the thread, someone stated that KSR made some calls. Then you stated That said I'm not going to drink the Kool Aid just bc a newly acquired KSR team needs to pump their traffic up and they "made some calls". There is no KSR team making calls, it was Matt on the radio. There is no article on KSR relating to what he said so there is nothing to drive traffic to.

Im done thinking any recruit is a "sure thing" collegiate performance wise after last years class. This kid has marquis bolden last person to commit written all over him and thats just the truth.

Coaching staff all need to give Hardy 10% of their salary after taxes. That would be $120,000 combined from the assistants and $650,000 from Cal.

Hardy would be for UK as a freshmen what Ray Allen was for UConn as a junior.

Paying the kid is the only way he comes here.

Gotta think if Hardy wanted all the G league hype which is very little to begin with he wouldn’t commit on the same day Ty Ty picks KY. Now if they both were to pick KY on the same day the hype and buzz would be through the roof. I think theirs a chance he decides to play college ball especially like another poster said no one pays attention to the G League including NBA executives.. He can make more money at KY off his name and likeness then the G League too.
Also, if Hardy came to KY, he would definitely be THE MAN. He would get MASSIVE exposure at KY compared to the G league where dreams go to die. If he wants to be noticed for the big league, I would think KY would give him that chance to shine for the NBA more than the G league. Just thinking.

Absolutely. Especially this year, when things should be back to normal. If they are and we’re good, Rupp will be ROCKIN’ this season! We’re just jonesing for some good basketball!

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he picks UK. I mean, look at the staff Cal has assembled. He is an elite recruiter himself, but damn, Orlando can sell crack to a crack dealer at double the cost.
Not only that, but the GL is starting to get exposed a little bit. Hardy could be a #1 pick (or close), but that's most likely not going to be possible if he goes to the GL, there just isn’t enough exposure and the competition is stronger.
To me, it's a no brainer, I would rather give up the $100k the GL is going to pay, go to UK and grab a spot in the lottery. I would not roll the dice on the GL and I'm sure Cal and his staff are telling him that.

I totally agree with this.
Washington and Hardy would be stars and then you add Mintz, CJ, Grady and Allen to them, yikes, I'm not sure there would be a better backcourt anywhere.

Thought I read Green and Kuminga got 500000? For 100k I’m not playing in the gleague for a year. That’s pocket change when your starring at lotto type money.

Emmert saying athletes could start getting paid this year could be an opening to at least fire a huge pitch at Hardy---and you can sell Jaden on KY state taxes compared to CA (team Ignite home or UCLA). Hardy in Lexington with no pro athletes to compete with....why not pitch it all out. What do you have to lose? Now it's likely too late, but sure as hell can't hurt to pitch it.

Really should help them prep to pitch '22/'23 class. NCAA will destroy G-League/Overtime with this idea as more people will follow CBB even if product isn't as good (GLeague) and Overtime league will go away faster then it begins because they'll be settling for the type of players they go to record/edit their YouTube clips and those kids will realize that making 6 figures doesn't last long when you have nowhere to go after playing in the Overtime league. Unless they are promising a luxurious life of being Overtime camera men where the smell of not bathing for 6 months only masks the delusional lifestyle that wannabe hipsters who believe Slam Magazine half page "features" are what decide whether you are elite or not.

KSR said they made calls and doubt they can make up the ground to get him. They think if he would decide to go the college route KY is the leader. Hardy will not go to the G league if no one else is going and at this point their are no high school kids headed there. They also think Mintz isn’t coming back
see if i followed this correctly
they doubt UK can make up ground
if he does not go to the G-League then UK is the leader
if none of his class goes to the G-League then he is not going there

sounds like they covered all their bases

I have a feeling Nolan Hickman is going to end up going G league. Read somewhere they were alread sniffing around him and apparently he’s impressed in Iverson workouts.

Sounds more likely than him starting all over on his recruitment after de-committing from UK, and from his comment last week, sounds like he wants to go pro ASAP.

I honestly think most kids will lose money by taking the 500k right away to go to the g-league.
I know take 500k for a year to lose a few million you could get being drafted higher in the NBA draft the next year.. No thanks if I was Hardy

May seem silly but why would you set some day to announce you are going to the g league? Doesn’t make sense
It really doesn’t. I do think that Jalen Green or someone did last year, though. IIRC, one of them did. I wanna say Green. Could be wrong.

Check this highlight video out. The bomb he hits at the 1:54 mark is very Tayshaun Prince-ish. This guy is an elite scorer from all levels and already has an nba body.
