It's his right to quit on his teammates if he wants to and yes, he'll get drafted and have a shot at making a roster. So that's nice, but for crying out loud. It used to be that a top 5 draft pick would decide not to play in a bowl game and we all debated if that was OK. Now, we've got a guy who is just hoping to be drafted quitting before the regular season is over and we're praising him? How soft are we getting as a society anyway? Let's call a spade a spade. He quit.A team-centric player who quits on his team before the last game of the season. Yeah he's all about the team alright.
He was the best player on this team this year. No hard feelings on my end for him walking away early, but I'm not going to praise a guy for quitting either.
Side note: He's probably embarrassed by the team's performance and I can understand the idea of not risking injury in a game that our team will probably not be motivated to play anyway. So I understand it from that aspect.
