David McCormack committed to Kansas about three days before this whole mess came to light. He was also being recruited by Oklahoma State, a school that had an assistant coach take a perp walk in this deal. I’m sure his recruitment was clean though.

Second, a subpoena is not required during an investigation, only during a prosecution. Discovery is also a concept only associated with litigation, and not relevant to an investigation. At any time Kansas can provide the records the FBI needs. It’s not like if they tried to send the materials voluntarily a federal agent would say “Wait, just hold onto these until we can get a subpoena out. And please don’t incriminate yourself or anyone else.”

This subpoena is tied to the indictment of the dude whose hearsay is causing you all to think KU is dirty. An indictment is more than an investigation.

Come on, give us the "Forde is a Mizzou grad so he's totally just making all of this up! RUGHEAD IS TOTALLY CLEAN! THE 2 MILLION INCIDENTS ARE TOTALLY NOT A SIGN OF SOMETHING BIGGER!" excuse I've seen some KU airheads throwing around.

1. Lead FBI investigator removed because he's crooked.
2. Jailhouse hearsay.
3. Victim

Are you living in a Hollywood film with this logic list? lol

In case you're confused with other things you may have seen in films:

1. No hobbits threw a ring in a volcano.
2. There are, in fact, no wars in space (yet).
3. One-eyed Willy never had treasure in Oregon.

Just to clarify, no statements on my list are true. Those were made-up by Hollywood, like your sense of cut/dry in this whole KU case.

Make no mistake, your school is incredibly screwed and those allegations are true. I wish you luck as a fan. Having your team get nailed with sanctions is going to absolutely suck.

You do realize that "hearsay" is a guy giving up information in an attempt to lessen the criminal charges and that is based on the info being correct.... the guy is not going to lie to the feds because they'd find out.

Saying "hearsay" is nothing more than you trying to lawyer up the bull sheet in order to feel better about the situation. But you know its not looking good.... and you're just too afraid to admit it because then it becomes all too real Mrs. Fedsputbabyinacorner.

Not only do KU players get subpoenas but so does their university.

What do you mean, "you all"?

Even us Duke fans know KU is dirty as hell. "You all" are approaching UNC-level of dirty. And just like UNC fans, you'd prefer to defend the indefensible rather than admit what's obvious to the rest of us. Pathetic.

Just one quick question since you like throwing out terms like "hearsay". How do you know what he is telling the feds is hearsay and not direct knowledge? As usual, I'll wait.

Duke is dirty as hell too. You've got guys eligible who couldn't get into a damn community college. It will come out eventually, there's no reason for a lot of your players of late to play at Duke unless NIKE wanted them to. You will be next.

You don't have the integrity to admit it, but deep down you know that every game De Sousa played in will be forfeited - and the Final Four banner is as toasted as Louisville's banners (get the Helms Bread Company fake banner reference?) That must be the sickest feeling a fan can have.

Oh. looks like Self is the dirtiest coach in all of CBB
Selby
Wiggins
Alexander
Jackson
Diallo
Preston
De Sousa
Addidas

A few years ago ESPN had an article about a major interstate drug dealer getting busted. He had several of the Kansas players contact info on his phone. He was often sitting behind their bench. Pricey, hard to get seats unless you’re connected. Look it up someone who has a few minutes to spare.
Once the dealer was indicted, you never heard another word about it. Guy wasn’t just selling marijuana, it was cocaine and everything under the sun.
Looks like prosecutors are big fans and wouldn’t dare commit political suicide in that county.

I honestly think nothing will come of this.

He can say what he wants and will say anything to lessen his charges, that's his motivation. Anything he says has to be corroborated or it's useless. There will be no evidence to corroborate his allegations, thus no sanctions.

I never claimed sanctions @babytremblinginacorner and, duh, you said what I said.

I will add this though. Do you really want us to believe Adidas reps funneled players to KU without getting a thumbs up from someone at KU? How would they know who Self really wants? It may never be proven but you know as well as I do, someone had to give a nod, thumbs up, wink..........

How many years in a row is this now of a Kansas player having to sit out, etc. Preston and de Sousa were both funnelled to ku by adidas no doubt.

Add in all the off court issues and you can tell it’s win at all costs in Lawrence.

What's in the bread awards at ku?

Kid didn't want to go to Maryland. Called KU said he wants to go to KU. No funneling involved. Was Bam funneled to Kentucky by Nike when NC State was everyone's lock and believe that is the "bad loan" he allegedly received to go to NC State? One case (Kansas) involved an investigation into a dirty agent, no? You are convicting KU, but giving KY and Nike a pass? In both cases, it is very reasonable to assume the coaching staffs had zero involvement.

I get it, it is fun to say KU is dirty. None of the issues at KU involved the coaching staff and when they became aware of the infractions, they pulled the kids off the court or when questionable they reported and didn't play the kids. That's how the process is structured to work.
