Ha, maybe. But I don’t see how the Matrix red pill / blue pill reference has anything to do with “stop panicking?”
Red means stop? Might not be a Matrix reference at all and just a green/red one. As viable a theory as any.

Um yeah, I’ve seen the movie a few times 😁

still don’t understand this reference
I didn't mean to infer anything directly to you ... sorry. I just wanted to share this video for anyone that wasn't familiar. I probably should've shared it as a stand-alone post, rather than a reply to yours. There are many interpretations of what "swallowing the red pill" means and/or infers. I don't pretend to know what Lucas intended with his posting, but fwiw ... here's something for folks to consider as a possiblity:

I interpret it as to a current player or recruit or transfer who is having a hard time deciding what to do so he is kinda prodding at them to stay or come join us.

In the movie red pill expands your mind while the blue pill keeps you ignorant to everything around you, at least that’s how I remember it. Been awhile since I watched the movie
Yes, this is true. Is that supposed to add clarity to WTF Lucas meant by tweeting it? LOL

Maybe it's a message in regards to recruiting/players leaving. Some player being sold on bad information? Recruits needing to "take the red pill" aka, come to Kentucky?

Or he just watched the Matrix lol.

I have a "theory."

My first thought was red and blue--IU and UK--its a Keion thing. But I don't think the coaching staff would do that sort of thing. They never have before.

I CAN totally see a coach talking to a kid that's wanting to transfer that's torn and giving them the whole: You take the blue pill--you wake up at UNC, you're still ignorant to your potential. You take the red pill, you come to UK, and see the light.

Walker Kessler comes to mind, but it could be a line he's used on any recruit/transfer.
