Since it hasn't been posted. Picked up the #1 player in Wisconsin for 2027 and the #66 player overall.

Love beating some of those teams for a commit, but seems or maybe feels like Iowa isn't going after the top end recruits like prev years?
Well, after this year we are going to be short a Jada, so there's that.
Jada is the lowest ranked recruit of Iowa’s 17 known offers in the ‘27 class, though not much difference between her and Brinley Altenburg.
Iowa spent a great deal of time and effort going after players like Greenway and Lewis, probably at the cost of time and energy going after players like Koupal (SD) and Kussow(WI). If Seubert waited to collect all the offers and committed next fall, I imagine the reception would be pretty effusive. Find great players that want to be Hawkeyes, and value that. Mid-season commitment tells you this girl wants to play for Jensen in CHA.

Seubert wears the Lucy kneepads.
IMO above average athleticism,High release and good elevation on her jump shot. Seems comfortable scoring at all 3 levels. A lot to like about her game.

It wasn’t a waste of time. If Iowa is going to elevate to an elite program and compete for titles, they need players like Lewis and Greenway. A roster full of Seuberts would be fine. Just not elite. Iowa is trying to take that next step but it’s gonna be extremely difficult..
You can't have a roster of all five stars. Championship teams are made up of some role players that are three or four star players. I watched Jada's tape, she looks darn good.
I think we are going to really like her. Remember shes only a junior, still has 1 1/2 years before shes even on campus
In the women’s game, the top 4-6 teams (only ones who can win a title) have depth of talent and size and athleticism at most positions. It’s just the way it is. It’s why this years Iowa team was demolished by UConn.
Agree you have to some balance and players who grow and develop. But JJ knows to beat the UCONn and South Carolina and Texas types (without a Caitlin type talent) you gotta add a lot more talent.

Love Syd, but as a HS junior Seubert looks like a way more fluid athlete. Better shot, three levels.

Post-commitment, 24/7 moves Seubert into their rankings at # 40.
Some brief comments from Jada and her coach on her commitment to Iowa.
I watched the 2nd game of the season clip against a good Hopkins team. Nice quick high release. Her range is really impressive. She is quick but not elite. She is just a junior handles well but could improve. Adding strength for the next level would really help. She will contribute early.

No. 66 in the country (now No. 40) and No. 1 in Wisconsin seems OK to me. And a lefty is usually a big challenge to defend because players are so used to guarding right-handers. Yah, I think Jada will fit in just fine.
I wouldn't ever argue that Jensen doesn't need or shouldn't recruit 5-stars. Rather, it was about diagnosing a genuine interest in Iowa sooner in the process. Sure, every player takes some work and convincing, but maybe it doesn't always have to be that way (Woliczko, Wright, Olsen). Plus, some of that star-chasing can be mitigated by portal moves.
If you are recruiting a player for five years and they still can't give you a yes, maybe talk to different players.

After the upcoming summer AAU circuit, I predict that her ranking will move up a few notches. She probably isn't a future 5 star but a worthy top 50ish ranking based on her versatility.
Agreed. People pay too much value on rankings. Just watch her film. She has game.
Number 1 in Wisconsin and 66 overall doesn't tell you she is a pretty high end commitment?
