So many players have contributed to the team's success this year but , IMO, none more than Young. He may not be the team's best player but IMO , he may be the most important. It showed last night--despite still suffering from the OSU fall , he persevered. He gritted it out and it carried over to the rest of the team. Young has made enormous improvement in his game from last year. He runs the offense and is an excellent defender. He's a one man press breaker and has made lots of big shots when most needed. And his foul shooting has been very good , especially at crunch time. Just like last night.

Well said. He's been incredible. And as soon as he left the OSU game we fell apart.

I wonder if Pike will be able to find a quick guard to break down a defense. He likes length so much he may (erroneously) focus too much on that and pass up play makers because they are "too short"

Good point. With length you often sacrifice some quickness

Jacob has shown unbelievable improvement this year, and is playing within himself.

Jalen Miller who is coming in next year as a PG is listed at 6-3 but looks smaller to me. Young's quickness is elite so that makes up for his lack of height. But I really like the length Pikiell has prioritized. Too many years with guys like Myles Mack who was a good shooter but gave up just as much or more on the other end.
