Same here. He obviously wasn't playing that well early on, but you could see his incredible athletic gifts (guy could be an incredible slot receiver/punt returner with his quickness, speed and wiggle) and knew if he could play under better control he'd be the X-factor. Fantastic coaching job to realize that vision. JY has the highest "range" of play of anyone on the team, IMO, meaning a very high ceiling when he's playing well and a pretty low floor when he's not. And I like seeing him playing closer to that ceiling lately.

matter. Ceiling hasn’t been hit yet. Next year will be a pleasure with our guard play.

Jacob got the rim a lot early but would miss bunnies or attack at the wrong time. Having 3 pgs as coaches has helped him tremendously. He’s also a kid who you can tell is having a ton of fun. Nothing but love for this team top to bottom.

“That’s a Prius, dunking in a runaway beer truck”

Weirdest call ever of an epic thunder chunky.

Turning point if the entire season?

The Caldwell game.

Jacob finally matches his athletic ability with his basketball skills in that game, giving him confidence moving forward. His play after that game — especially during Geo’s absence — was the thing that brought this team to a new level.

I think JY picked the right staff when he was on the transfer market. He has clearly gotten better as the year went on. Also, he blocked that 3 pt attempt and that call was bs.

That 3 point shot block was awesome. Horrible call by that official.
