Jacksonville is a very well coached team. Their o line blocks well and def swarms to the ball. I was surprised with their size. I want say they are small but their aren't big. The starting rb was out and missed. Without him Jacksonville doesn't have anything special running the ball. The QB missed a lot of guys tonight. The score was 14-6 late in the 3rd and 17-6 midway thru the 4th. Laney ran a 5-2 and loaded both LBs on the strong side and it really bothered the cards. Jacksonville finally got some passes completed and that lead to two more quick scores late. I'm sure the starting RB would have made a difference. Laney offense didn't do much and couldn't move the ball much. They had one drive in which they completed a few passes to score. Laney is in big trouble this season. Jacksonville will have to throw it better if they are going to be one of the best 3A teams in the state.
Thank you for Finally telling it how it is. JHS super overrated this year. Ranked way to high by many. According to the only JHS poster, JHS has 8 great rbs this year. 14-6 to a down Laney team is about what they are. JHS won't be able to win past the 2nd rd against teams that actually play defense
Lol yup just like they have made it pass the 2nd round the last 2 years right? Cards played as bad as they could yet still 31-6 win. QB was definitely off passing tonight. Brinker ran the ball well when needed to. Cards were flat tonight but found a way to still win. Glad we have a off week to let Finnister get to 100%. Defense played well limiting Laney just over 140 yards or so of total offense. Cards finished a touch over 300. Played as bad as you could and still will 31-6 on the road. We will take that.

I am not trashing Jacksonville. They have a fine team. I agree with you that they did seem to be a bit flat. QB hits those open guys it’s 28-7 at half but he didn’t. I know some polls have them as high as 3 and I dont think they showed that tonight. Laney defense really bothered them for 3 1/2 quarters. I spoke with the hurt RB at half, nice kid, great looking kid. I’m sure he’s a player.

Oh port you have a honest and accurate account of the game and performance. It was meant for the other clown who keeps trying to trash Jacksonville every chance he gets. This is coming from a guy who for the last 6 years his team has gotten their tail kicked by the Cards. I am the first to say Cards played horrible yet still won by 25. Came out extremely flat. Finnister plays different ballgame. Kid was at 50% against a solid East Duplin team went 95 yards on 11 carries. Yeah this team is loaded with a bunch of great kids. All great student athletes. WB was definitely off tonight missed allot of open receivers.That will keep cleaned up over the off week and they will come out much better.

In my days (early 80s) we hated JHS and still do over at swo. Glad YOU got your program back to relevant, instead of everyones homecoming game. JHS used to be serious players in highschool ball on the eastern part of the state.
As a mother of three boys with two already went through the Football program at JHS and the last one playing for the Football program now, I was asked by a family member that lives in Florida have you ever read what they say about the kids at your son alma mater if not you should.
As a mother reading some of the comments on this thread and others I find them distasteful and not becoming from any sports spectator no matter what team you support. At the end of the day these young men are someone son and for any person to say some of things I am reading you should be embarrassed as a person. How can you say you supporting your school? When in fact you are actually disrespecting your program by bashing another school.
Yes....JHS had its good and bad seasons but at the end of the day those young men continue to put on those uniforms and represent JHS. I find that more as a humbling statement than you can only imagine. I have seen the bad and good in the last 9 years that my boys have and are having as football players at JHS but in spite of they never complain. The coaching staff works tirelessly with those young men day in and day out. And not one coach over another does a better job than the other so stop it about one coach coming from another school helping JHS because the same kids before he came were the same kids at that school or on the way from the middle school before he arrived.
Some would say JHS choke and will never win a state championship, as a mother I would say the championship is great but the valuable lesson weight far more valuable than any ring. Great your team has rings but a life lesson is more valuable in my opinion. Some of you need to take a page out of those young men books about being humble in spite of, that will take you further in life than any championship. And before you say my kids probably didn't play, so let help you out before that forms in your brain from every snap may it been on offense or defense they have started and been on the field. I have seen the shoulder sprains, ankle injuries and the questionable ACL injuries thank the man upstairs nothing bad just sprains.
I may never come up here again but enough is enough the kids can't pick who they play and everything happens for a reason when it's time for the Cardinals to win a championship they will not saying it's this year but when they do it was ordained by the man upstairs.
Praying for all the young men that put on a uniform on Friday night and give it their all no matter the school they attend.

LoL LoL JHS puts their team mom on a board full of men. If you don't like what you read, don't read it. Simple as that. Wining a title, I promise is more promising then going 2-9 or 1-10. Awesome Your three sons have played for JHS, they know about losing alot of football games. The kids can Def choose who they play for and what school they play for LoL this is 2018, transfers happen every year. But glad the team mom is up here now, should give some great insight on JHS.

No I don't know who you are LoL but keep hyping JHS. SWO never changes always a powerhouse, when I suited up and when my sons suited up and still now. JHS has just become decent in football.
