Any school that actually played Deacon Hill, let alone as a Starter, deserves every bit of QB mismanagement criticism anyone can throw at them. And then some.

Hill was never supposed to have played. Give credit to the staff for actually having the foresight to have acquired an emergency QB, that spring.

To have won as many games as Iowa did with Hill at qb, was one of the most masterful coaching jobs you'll ever see.

The one thing I would say, is the staff never should have been playing Cade while he was hurt. That likely contributed to his season-ending injury. Which contributed to the need for an emergency QB

Wish him well…disappointed the coaches never even seem to acknowledge him during the season as a possible option. IMHO he was better than Brown…
