I thought exactly that.
Isn't his Dad a politician?
Okay I'll probably get blasted but people need to calm down... he didn't hire an agent and he's testing... if he decides to go then let him go and wish him nothing but the best.. but please remember just a few weeks ago everyone ripped bolden when he was "transferring" and then when he came back everyone loved him.... let it play out.
Looks like May 24thI know this has already been stated..but if he were to come back, when is the deadline to pull your name out?
I didn't see the dad's comments as bad towards Duke. He said something along the lines of "Duke was the right choice and it will be tough to leave, if we went anywhere else he'd be OAD." As in they would be using any other school as a one year stop over, but at Duke he is actually considering returning. Jmo
That's exactly what he said. He is saying if Frank were anywhere else he would already be gone, but Duke gives you reasons to stay.
Defiantly scared of competition! apparently being a second round pick and backup at best to an NBA point guard is more appealingScared of competition? Just having a back up plan on case Duval comes IMO
I think you would be dumb not to gather all the information you could get.If any of you had millions of dollars on the line...would you not take a unique opportunity to learn from potential future bosses what skills they felt you should improve on?
Fans in general have become so entitled in college sports.

So college basketball is no longer about sports and school. It's a businessI think you would be dumb not to gather all the information you could get.
Do whatever you feel is best Frank, but make the decision on your own. The advice of people who are most likely to be impartial should be considered most valuable, i.e., take what your dad and your coaches say with a grain of salt... and never listen to an agent!
I enjoy your teenage cell phone type use of words.
That is why he is going to the combine to get enough information to be able to make an intelligent decision. What ever he decides I only wish the best for himI think you mean back up a PG overseas...no way he is making an NBA roster right now or getting drafted at all
I said it before, but if Frank leaves then my college bball fandom will continue to wane. I mean an undersized freshman back up two guard is going to enter a loaded draft. If guys like him are going to leave you'll never be able to build a real team. Will continue be year to year. Oh well.

I would think K could be able to tell him he isn't getting drafted and not ready...I think this is more about him and his handler oh I mean his dad lol
I could honestly care less, find the ignore button thenWell, that's where we differ, I don't enjoy anything you post.
Yes, and it's been that way in the power conferences since the 90s. There is still an element of amateurism to it, but it's a money sport. Our coach makes $10 million/year before endorsements. So college basketball is no longer about sports and school. It's a business
And K passed on the NBA twiceYes, and it's been that way in the power conferences since the 90s. There is still an element of amateurism to it, but it's a money sport. Our coach makes $10 million/year before endorsements.
K is father figure to these kids and oftentimes kids need to hear the harsh truth from someone other than family"I don't totally understand the whole going to get feedback from the NBA thing. It makes sense because you are allowed to do this. But coaches as connected and knowledgeable as k and others can certainly tell you what to work on."
I could not disagree more. Playing in the NBA is about more than just talent. It is about relationships too as well as poise under pressure, both of which are enhanced by a player availing himself of the testing opportunity...
