Looking for a golf cart to use on game day, as well as around house, and around neighborhood and farm. Any advice or recomendations?

Watch Craigslist and Facebook, don't rush it, wait for the right deal. But be prepared to pounce when the deal is right.

Decide ahead of time if you want all the bells and whistles. All the lifts and wheels and stuff are just for show.

I just realized none of that is really very helpful, but I typed it all in so I'm pressing "Post."

I always had good luck with Club Car

Electrics are great as long as the batteries are charged and good. Expect 3-5 years out of the typical cart battery and figure replacement in your purchase price if they are older. Gas are good but you need to run them and keep fresh gas in them. Today's ethanol fuel is not good just sitting in a carb. Yamahas are notoriously light in the front end when a back seat is added and a load put back there. Lift kits aren't necessary but are really nice on campus for jumping curbs to park, with a stock cart you are limited in your parking. I'm on my third electric and in need of batteries but when buying next, I will probably go gas just to try it.

I am biased as I work for a golf car manufacturer. If short distances electric but plan to spend $'s every 4-5 years to replace batteries which aren't cheap. Gas has great range but needs to be driven. Newer models have EFI and much improved range. Club Car has an aluminum frame so rust will never be an issue if you are in a coastal area.
