Anyone else see the ******* Michigan fan in 105? Stood up most of the game. Screamed at the refs constantly. Totally disrepectful of the people around him. Visiting fans should cheer for their team but respect the fact that you're a guest in our house

He was almost strangled by my near 76 year old dad ...and it would have been justifiable homicide

I have to say from my section 214 seat it is quite annoying to look across and see gold Michigan shirts in the 100 sections. I really don’t understand how you can afford these season tix and allow them to be sold to rival fans so close to the court. Do you really need the resale dollars vs the allegiance to your team? Be nice to be generous and turn them over to RU fans... just thinking.

Or if you have a problem with the guy ...just let him going on being a jerk. Then post on a message board about him.

That imbecile sat very close to me as well and I yelled at him during the first half to sit the hell down. I'll admit he was a die hard Michigan fan and in fairness to him - he did not denigrade any Rutgers players or be negative towards Rutgers - but so damn annoying all the time he stood up. You can also tell he was somewhat emotionally disturbed as he acted like an infant and probably has the intellect of an infant as well. What irritated me just as well was the security guard in the aisle next to him who allowed him to put his Michigan Poster on the Courtside seats during the last minute of the game for all to see and the security guard shook his hand after the game as if they were buddies. I may need to or want to talk with this security guard or his supervisor at the next game as I didn't think that was cool or respectful.

That seat and the one next to it always have visiting fans in them. The ******* wearing an Indiana #4 jersey (the one EO blew a kiss to) was in the same seat n the prior game.
You are 100% correct. Whoever owns those seats lucked out the last 2 games selling the tickets to emotionally disturbed individuals much to the detriment of loyal Sec 105 season ticket holders who give a damn.

yes jump in his face, act meaner then him and tell that jerk you know some internet tough guys that know how to handle jerks like him.
Or just decide it's not worth it to start trouble , because he's acting like a jerk but not in a threatening way.

Sharing experiences at the game ( good ot bad) sometimes makes for good conversations.
Other times ignoring would be the best way to handle it.

You need to read my post again . I don’t think you should jump in his face . I said let him go on being jerk and then just post on message board.

Guess I took what you said the wrong way and need to apologize for they way I replied.

Please accept my sincere apology for thinking you meant he should have confronted the jerk and not just talk about the jerk on a message board.

No problem. It might be hard to gain anything by confronting a guy like that . Might just make the situation worse .

As you can see I wasn't the only fan who had a problem with this douche. Security should have told him to cool it as he was ruining the enjoyment of the game for others. We paid for our seats too

Most of the Michigan fans near me were respectful: they cheered for their team, but they didn't antagonize the Rutgers fans near them. Unfortunately there are always exceptions.

For what it is worth, Michigan fans are far from the worst. That loser prize belongs to Penn St, Syracuse, Villanova, and all the local NJ schools (plus Wisconsin for football).

When I go to away games, I make an additional effort to make sure I am respectful while cheering for Rutgers.

When the tide turns in these situations, as it sometimes does, it is the duty of the fans directly behind him to make his visit as uncomfortable as possible. It has to be a memorable experience. Enough to make it a one and done visit here. $$$$

From my experience, it is very easy to get opposing rowdy fans thrown out of games. All you have to do is start an argument with them, once they get worked up, you hail security and then give them one warning and then you subtly continue to nudge them until they lose it again and hail security again. This is a group effort and requires your whole section to be on board with it haha

That's the way it should be handled.
I'd be happy to buy those season tix. I wanna get a pair in the 100's and couldn't get my hands on them this year so I have emergency seasons in the 200's but usually just go to stubhub and buy in the 100's every night

Oh, that will be coming
Also, I remember years ago my friends dad has jets season tickets and for an entire season he sold them and apparently he sold them to some ******* a couple games, one time guys in his seats got kicked out and that was a strike against him as the szn ticket holder and then another guy who he sold to got thrown out and he got his season tix suspended for a year

The problem is if you sell your tickets, you don't have a lot of control who buys them, or who they resell them to.

When I can't make a game, I usually offer my seats my friends first and then to the people who sit around me in the RAC. If none of them want my tickets, then I offer them for sale on StubHub. But there is no way to control who buys them. Even if you offer them through the ticket exchange forum on this site, you can't control the tickets. A couple of years ago I sold my tickets at below face value to a "Rutgers fan" on this board, and a few days later I saw my seats for sale on StubHub for way above face value.

They never show up. Always visiting fans in those seats. Someone's probably figured out a way to make money. Seats are empty when we play the cupcake OOCs
These fans are an embarrassment... you fork out 100 section tix and see opponent fans in these seats. Sorry boys and girls you are NOT RU true fans.

Keep in mind that there are some seats owner by brokers

Can tell you that the four seats next to me in football (row 18 in section 105) are now owned by stub hub. Three straight years. That’s the 50 yard line and max priority point section

I have had my seats since the stadium remodeled in 1994...and I’m about ready to move because I’m sick of dealing with opposing fans next to the right of me every week.

I found the Michigan b-ball fans to be okay, and less dooshy then their football fans.

There were 2 exceptions in my immediate section 213 both involving people who moved over to sit in open seats.

1 lady that was by herself stood up almost every time they scored or did something good and was going out of her way to be annoying.

Then this little 15 year old pipsqueek and his friend sat down in front of me in the second half and unprovoked went out of his way to turn around and chirp at the middle age woman next to me after Baker missed a free throw laughing repeatedly “that almost went in!”.

Little did he know my brother and I were sitting directly behind him and told him to shut it or go back to his own seats. I think the kid soiled himself when we saw us behind him and didn’t say a peep the rest of the game.

Haha I don’t think so. We were pretty polite...but stern about it.

There were a lot of Michigan fans in the 200s I think the kid thought he was surrounded by them and could act like an immature brat and talk crap to a middle aged woman for no reason.

It's called being a terrible Rutgers fan
