He was the missing piece. Just like how Mag was to last year's team. We are such different team with him. Our defense definitely looks like one of top 10 in the country. our offense is no longer getting stuck.

I wish we had him the whole year... would have been such different season with him...

He's getting expensive to keep. The way he's impacting the floor
This may be true, but with just enough NIL money, I believe he’ll show loyalty to Pike, who gave him a chance despite his troubles and his injury.

Also, the allure of playing next year with our incoming star-studded class, plus likely Mag and possibly Cliff, and being a RAC hero, will give him plenty of reasons to stay.

Jeremiah Chipwich?

Great players make everyone around them better. He's doing just that.

In the post game presser against Michigan or Maryland, I forget which, he mentioned being thankful to Pike for taking him in. Don't forget, Illinois cut ties with him after a brief commitment once the gambling rumors came out.
I remember that and am making the assumption that he'll stay loyal to Pike and come back. He would be SO valuable next year!

Fantastic. It's unbelievable what an impact he's had in just 3 games.

If you really think about the overall 10-10 start to the season, imagine being a player on this roster practicing every day in October, in November, in December, even into January with JWill and him not being able to play or contribute one minute on the floor in those first 20 games knowing what he provides in practice. I wonder no more why the guards struggled to find chemistry on the floor because they were missing a pretty big piece of their offensive weaponry game after game

It is amazing what he has shown in two road wins and the home game against Wisconsin. He really provides something no one else can offensively on this team, the same way Mag does defensively. We are finally seeing the results of having a 100% available roster and what might have been and what we still can do the rest of the season. It is there to be earned if we win enough games.
