Remember when everyone was so excited about Dylan/JWill being named one of the most talented backcourt?

That's was a fun time.

Note: I disagreed and said it was a bad mix.

You guys all wanted Simpson gone.

You know what he could do? Hit foul shots.

68% JWill at end of game or 88% Simpson?

Be careful what you wish for and I told you so.

Derkack missing foul shots at Kennesaw?
I would have liked Simpson shooting.

He lost that game twice tonight.

That was just piss poor and truly believe he was a main reason as to why this season was so poor
Him and not having a center. Plus coaching bc there’s no reason he deserved more minutes then Acuff this year.

JWill is the only solid defensive player on the team and the only one who always looks for open players around the hoop. Had several nice dishes today, though he will only be remembered for the 2 missed FTs.

His defensive is overrated by a lot on this board.

Does he have some nice games here and there?

Sure.

But his defense looks better than it is because the rest of the teams defense is pitiful.

3 times.

- he had sole possession of ball up 4 towards end of regulation and took a crazy left handed shot that missed

- missed both free throws

- missed shot at end of first overtime.

I think some of you are too critical of our guys. Jeremiah busted it all game on defense and made some great plays stealing the ball and diving on the floor for balls on our press. Yes he missed two foul shots but plenty of other people have done the same in the clutch. He should not have been given the chance on that last three. Dylan had the ball and should have kept it himself and driven it hard to the basket. I am sure Pike wanted Dylan to drive rather than give the ball up.

Pike should have called something out and not leave it to a freshman there imo.

Easy on JWill. Definitely hurt us late offensively, but, was great on defense and hustle, created TOs. Had some good assists also. I more blame coaches for putting him in that situation when we all know we have better shooting or driving options In That situation. When they had to foul, JWill needed to inbound and only Harper, Acuff or Somerville should get inbound. And now way JW should have the ball ISO and told to create his shot late. And on last shot to win, second option can’t be him either. Simple coaching mistakes there.

I turned to my wife and said “guaranteed he misses both”. He’s just not that guy
I said same thing to my son, I said “he’s not a make both free throws kind of guy, at best he makes 1 or misses both, that’s just not him”……I almost rolled over laughing when I read what you said …..I am sure many others were saying the same as us.

He did look scared. Panic is a funny thing.
And looked real disappointed when he missed that 3 that could have redeemed himself. He's actually a real liked person by professors and staff. . Many of us expected him to miss one of those ft's but feared he'd miss both.Still think Harper should have drove to the basket rather than pass it off.

I always made it a point to never boo or criticize players. But now they are mercenaries so I don’t know.
