Anyone who has a starting spot at MSU and decides to transfer to Ole Miss is pretty damn sorry. Hopefully he doesn’t enter the portal but Steve is pretty confident that there’s a lot of smoke to this.

Would love to see someone justify the new direction that college football is going. We haven’t had a football player transfer from State to OM (or vice versa) in the almost 30 years that I’ve been following MSU, and we’re about to lose 2 starters to them in the same offseason. And the worst part is that both are going to invoke some obscure loophole that makes them eligible immediately (or else they wouldn’t be transferring in the first place). I’m giving it 5 years or less before I probably just quit caring about CFB entirely at the current rate.

So Jones is not currently in the portal, meaning he cannot be contacted by other coaches. However, he has been in Oxford for days?

How exactly is that not tampering?

The only football transfer from State to OM that I can remember is Breck Tyler after State fired his dad.

He hasn’t graduated yet. So doesn’t he have to sit out 2 years if we don’t release him? And the first he has to pay his own way?

Ouch. I remember D1 Sports being heavily involved with his recruitment the first go around. They might have finally got their wish.

He will just use the tweet from Leach as his reasoning for leaving and will be granted immediate eligibility.

He is going to play corner at a school whose rival is about to throw it at him 20-30 times a game the rest of his career.... Good luck with that, Jarrian.

Childish shenanigans my ***. Looks to me like they're kicking our *** in recruiting our own players. Not sure what the problems are with our football program right now, but we better get them fixed soon.

Maybe not but at least something is being done (or trying to be done). Laying down and taking it like ain’t the way to go. Cohen is probably the least pussified AD we have ever had and I’m glad he’s going to at least make an effort to not take this ********.
