I thought it was going to be like the Isaac Copeland injury in 2019 all over again. That team collapsed after that.

No, it’s not. Just because it’s a short-term injury doesn’t mean it’s a freaking cramp.

Glad he’s back, but this is devestating for the excuse factory when NU misses the tourney.
Calf “strains” can be tough for a basketball player or any athlete really. It took Joe Burrow about 6 weeks to get back to some degree of normal.

Hopefully he doesn’t try to come back too fast. I’ll be surprised if we’re not talking about weeks versus days out.

After Kevin Durant having a similar injury, only to actually tear his achilles the first game back, this still makes me very nervous.

Unless he is related to Dan Alexander, a guy who could recover from a complete ACL tear in a few months, seems more realistic to hope he can come back for the home stretch of the season vs in a couple of games. Calf strains take awhile to heal based on my experience.
