DID you see the link I posted a week ago where Izzo says “I hope they got the right guy”?

Good grief! Apparently you can't walk outside anymore with out getting diddled or penetrated...especially on a college campus...

This is bad news bears, not just for MSU, but colleges in general and athletics departments.

Please tell me you guys are kidding. While I agree some of this “Me Too” screams “Witch Hunt” — more than 100 women were sexually molested and abused by Larry Nassar — they tried to report it — and MSU did nothing.

The ESPN “Outside the Lines” report states women were sexually assuaged and beaten by someone involved in the football and basketball programs and the university did nothing. I would hope if that was your daughter or niece involved — you’d want something done and wouldn’t accuse them of “snitching”.
Cavemen stand up against this nonsense!!!....as soon as you finish dragging your knuckles and woman by the hair.

Yep. Women have got men by the balls in the workplace. Bitches be snitches

Women should be respected, in the workplace. The problem is, this thing has gotten way out of control. A man has to worry about even talking to a woman, at work, because if she wants to climb the ladder, all she has to do is make an accusation. Men are pretty much defenseless. Hard to claim you didn't do something, even when you didn't. Today, you are automatically guilty.

In 2010, a female student accused two of Izzo’s men’s basketball recruits of rape, although they insisted the encounter had been consensual. Although federal law required Michigan State to open a Title IX investigation after the student filed her initial complaint, the university did not do so for two months, and then later concluded that the players did not violate university policy. No charges were filed in the case, and both players appeared in every regular-season game as freshmen.

In addition, former Spartans basketball player Travis Walton was serving as an undergraduate student assistant coach in January 2010 when he was accused of punching a female student at a bar hard enough to knock her off a barstool and give her a concussion. Walton pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in February and was permitted to travel with the basketball team while his case was pending.

Walton eventually reached a plea deal with local prosecutors because witness statements contradicted the alleged victim’s account. The assault and battery case was dismissed and Walton instead pleaded guilty to a civil infraction for littering.

That same month, Walton and two Spartans basketball players were reported to the athletic department for sexual assault. Walton was eventually fired, but if Izzo punished the players at all, it happened behind the scenes.

The ESPN story details multiple examples of Michigan State’s lack of transparency and failure to properly handle Title IX complaints that have left the school open to legal action.

Disgusting. :chairshot:

I agree. 99.999999% of the people in America have no idea who Nassar is. You don’t have a big story unless you can drag Izzo and Dantonio into it. Is that what’s happening here? I don’t know. But fairness demands we be careful about rushing to judgment.
Wait, people are acting like they didnt know about golden boy Tom Izzo the AD and the president covering up Adreian Payne and Keith Applings rape EIGHT YEARS AGO. LOL, i brought it up every time in all those Art Briles arguments but since he's a media golden boy, people dont care.

I read that appling is now in prison. They said they did it but it was consensual. Although they had to stay away from the girl after the MSU rulings and MSU tried to hide all kinds of info, including suing ESPN for a records check before the asked. There was some bad stuff going on there.

For others like us it presumed guilty without the possibility of innocence. Just a perpetual state of not caught yet.

Well, in The Filth’s case they admitted guilt. The most corrupt institution in the history of college basketball abdicated it’s authority on jurisdictional grounds.

I need to read up on this, so forgive the ignorance, but how would the bball and football (or most any other) coach know whats going on with a doctor who is treating gymnasts? I suppose you might hear "whispers" but trying to understand their complicity. In PSU case these were ADs and administrators associated with the football program.

It was about rapes and sexual harassment and violence against women from payers on the bball and football teams.

I heard a Washington Post sportswriter this AM say that this story has not gotten attention because we, in America, “don’t care about little girls.”

It was tripe, and the radio host pushed back, but her response was to compare to Penn State football.

In short, of course we “care” about little girls, but to make something a major story, you’ve got to bring down someone big.

Wow.

And yes, we will happily scoop up some of these recruits, current players. As others have said, the entire current roster would be fair game (coach being fired/resigning) and the recruits probably don't want any part of an Izzo-less MSU.

Anyone know much about their incoming class and whether or not any of those guys had us on their lists?
