I still can't understand for the life of me why we let ND roll the ball inbounds with 8 seconds left on the second OT. Cost us at least 2 seconds and they scored with 1.4 left on the clock. Driving me crazy and I apologize for my repeating this and starting a new thread. Just unfathomable to me.

Agree. That was a tactical error. Even soft pressure keeps that play from having enough time to unfold like that. 2 seconds is a lot of time in those situations

Presumably because they thought getting back and in position was more important than trying to pressure the inbounds pass.

Was that correct? I don't know. But I don't think it's obviously wrong.

It was an error not having one guy in the backcourt. I'd imagine some mental fatigue had to be in play at that point, too - someone should have been guarding the inbound, but everyone ran back on defense.

I think it was a mistake. You want to speed teams up in those situations. Ironically speeding them up can lead them to panicking and taking a shot sooner. How often do you see college players hoisting a bad buzzer beater when there are still 2 seconds on the clock?

That said it's low on the list of reasons why we lost.

Low on the reason for the loss...yes, but it's the last mistake we made and it stands out to me.

Pike should have been ready to call TO after a made basket since we were coming out of break. That’s my one gripe.
I know Pike more then likely had them ready to play D incase of a made bucket, but coaches need to stop letting teams do that. That’s scared d
